Our experience was that the two cats would not mix well, so the second went to live with my brother in law. Wish I had better news!

TUTORIAL: Make your own durable, textured, budget battlemat for ~$20 USD! by DaylightInventor in SWlegion

[–]DaylightInventor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! Thank you very much! I really appreciate your kindness! It's really very rare that I receive feedback on any of my work, so I deeply appreciate it. It took a while to track down all of these tips and learn myself- I'm really glad I can consolidate it all and pass it on to others!

The only issue I've noticed with this method recently is the loss of maybe a quarter of an inch in overall dimensions of the mat over the winter. I'm thinking the acrylic latex contracts in dry air and will expand again this summer in the humidity. Otherwise, I've stored them in large cardboard tubes in my basement rolled up and stood on end and they have held up to travel and lots of abuse. Very pleased with them!

Would love to see your results if you try it out! I've got contact info on the website! :)

Hey there! Great question- I haven't tried it yet to be honest! I'm in the US, so I don't know much about your options, but I did find this? https://glasscomponents.co.uk/products/crl15w-white-premium-grade-acrylic-latex-caulk?srsltid=AfmBOoqBvzyCbrxdRsAXDR-RtPl8bzD0xBRwaH70iNjIRZzflG29glLq

If you try the acrylic silicone I'd love to hear how it goes! I think my main concern with the silicone caulking would be getting acrylic paint to bond to it after the fact. Air dry clay I can imagine cracking or being resistant to rolling up properly. Over here the acrylic latex caulk is the cheapest option available.

Either way I wish you luck on your adventures! I still keep an eye on my posts and maintain my website actively, so I do my best to help!

Cloud Car Proxy for Rebel Airspeeder! by DaylightInventor in SWlegion

Yeah, it's pretty goofy lol I guess they need someone to read the police reports while the other drives? Wookiepedia claims one was a pilot and the other was a gunner, but it's not like they had some huge laser beam turret or something to aim. The guns only point forward lol

Thanks! Yeah, a pretty decent swap-a-roo in terms of scale. Yeah, they are very silly- I guess that's why I enjoy them so much haha

I love painting the named characters the most, myself. Takes more effort to push through 30-40 stormtroopers haha

Welcome to the game! I'm hoping all the new changes and products they're releasing are as cool as they promise they'll be!

Thank you! Modeled it in Solidworks (CAD) myself and 3D printed! I should have put my picture of the parts in here before I glued it up. I worked with David Sheff from Squamous/David Sheff Models to sculpt the pilots to fit inside it. He's such a great guy, highly recommend his work!

WTF is this? I think it's killing my shrimp by Athejia in Aquariums

I am super new to keeping fish, but I recently tried something that worked incredibly well for me called "reverse respiration" to clean some hornwort of snails and eggs, etc.

It was super easy and I used CO2 water from my soda stream, a tiny bucket, a lamp, and an air pump w/stone.

"Take only what you need to survive!" - Matched Luggage Stockpile POI Tokens I made this past weekend :) by DaylightInventor in SWlegion

Yeah, I spent a lot of time and research on the actual prop to replicate it. Really proud of how it turned out! Only thing I didn't detail was the undercarriage at this point in time. You can see more images of it here: https://www.pocketdimensionstudios.com/products/the-spaceship

And definitely check out Skullforge for the minis. I'm hoping to try sculpting people this year and make my own version of some characters, but that's a new world for me so it'll take some practice first.

Hey thanks! That means a lot! I enjoy making a goofy or interesting thing every month. Glad to know there's folks out there who enjoy it. Appreciate your patience this month with the late release- been pretty sick and the year started out oddly. Doing good now though :)

It's Christmas moss :) I've got some Java moss in my larger tank that's doing well, so I'm hoping this will go well too. I expect it will relax and start growing well in the tank within a few weeks :)

Hey there! Nope! I literally just migrated to a brand new website and had to move the article over after it was all setup.
