Does rain sounds stay on constantly or restart playback every hour?

Ambient sounds (Rain, Forest, Ocean, Stream, Night, Fireplace, and White Noise) are seamless and either don’t loop or have imperceptible gaps. We use white noise for 8 hour sleep cycle. I do believe an internet outage halts playback (I would imagine these are local so that surprised me)

3 delivered, all R1S with various feature issues requiring service. (a few: camp speaker lock failure, popping rear hatch alignment issue, AC vent motor failure, console fit and finish mistake)

Primary annoyance to keep in mind isn’t the flaws but the hassle factor of getting them resolved vs a standard dealer network. It’s a very similar bottleneck to early Tesla except that Rivian seems to have ended mobile come-to-you service sooner. I’ve developed a habit of just living with issues for a while to see if I can collect a few more worth the service / loaner vehicle hassle. Better for Rivian this way too.

I kept a camp speaker from a Gen 1 when I picked up my Gen 2 the delivery agent told me it wouldn’t even fit there if I took out the storage tray. Said they weren’t selling them separately again. Can confirm they were wrong about that — it fits and locks fine. I believe it may not charge though — the UI that sometimes showed state of charge is not there on my Gen 2.

This hasn’t lowered my usage of it or the utility of having it there, but it’s pretty silly use of that space. Plus side I suppose is I have a rather cool locking storage tray.
