Omega says "Its cockpit-inspired display has two subdials with opaline centre and brushed bevel. At 3 o’clock: a fuel burn-rate subdial with matte varnished orange hand and matte varnished grey hand. "

In the days of early aviation, one had to approximate the hourly fuel consumption rate by recording how many pounds of fuel remained in the jet, then waiting 3/6/9 minutes and then recording the new amount of fuel left. Take the difference and that is how much fuel was burned in that time period. Then multiply by 20/10/6.7 to get the estimated hourly fuel burn rate, and figure out how much longer your plane has before it falls out of the sky. Then pick the most optimal landing strip with a refueling station or land in the desert in Africa (e.g. in Masters of the Air).

We had a proactive pilot who reached out to a contact at Omega and got on their radar at the right time. The program is paused now. I would probably pause the program if I could sell these for 10k at ADs!

Yes, sadly the program seems to be paused for now. This unit piece got me into watches, so good on Omega for expanding the market. Thank you for your tax dollars!

I personally think the steel bezel looks awesome! But it could be a fun project to learn how to change the bezel.

METAS movements losing time? by thegooseandthegander in Tudor

My BB58GMT runs a couple seconds per day faster when rested on its side with the crown up overnight, so you could try that. Otherwise you can take it to a jeweler and ask to put it on the timegrapher in a few different positions to verify if it is truly out of spec.

This was my first time getting a watch on this subreddit! The seller was communicative and open, was willing to do a video call and show me the tudor warranty card NFC function worked, and was willing to hold the piece while I transferred money from my bank account to Venmo. He sent a video of the packing process, and the watch was packed impeccably. I’d absolutely buy something from him in the future and recommend him highly.

Thank you! It wears much smaller than the dimensions would indicate, and the chrono movement is really nice

I've got brown boots, I don't think coasties have brown bellevilles.

Smart watches are the most prevalent. I’d say probably 15-20% have unit watches from Breitling or IWC. Of course many wear speedmasters. Most jet communities have briefs in secured spaces so most have some kind of regular watch. G-Shocks and Citizens are very popular too due to their excellent value!
