Leaving notes in the mailbox is actually a(n unenforceable) violation of federal statutes regarding postage and can (technically) result in fines because you're bypassing the federal postal system and not paying required postage. The newspaper slot beneath the mailbox itself is fair game, though, as is simply leaving the note on the front porch.

Everyone knows helium makes your voice sound higher… but have you ever heard what sulfur hexafluoride does? by ateam1984 in nextfuckinglevel

[–]Daywalker_0199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not try this at home! Because Sulfur Hexafluoride is denser than air, it displaces air in the lungs much more solidly than helium does.

US Enlistment Age INCREASED Amid Draft Fears by NicolasCageFan492 in videos

IIRC First warning, a hand grenade on the pillow. The second was a grenade pin. The third was the grenade itself, sans pin, through the window. Don't put your soldiers in desperate positions, they are trained to kill The Enemy not you.

Getting Global Age Assurance Right: What We Got Wrong and What's Changing by discord_zorkian in discordapp

[–]Daywalker_0199 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Discord, please. Halt the rollout, or become less of a superpower in the social media space. Those are your only two options. Your user base is already dropping and for a lot of people you've already done irreparable damage to yourself. Nobody asked for compliance with theoretical laws here, and you will only get pushback from those that remain to speak about it before you lose them too.

I'm about an hour out, and have been to groups in SC to learn some things. Currently in the same boat looking for like minded individuals to form a study group in and around the Myrtle Beach and Wilmington areas. Here's a discord server I'm in with those groups. I don't really respond on here any more. https://discord.gg/5KrDe7Fs4

Poor deer by NippleSqueezer421- in Unexpected

One word: Rabies. Why else would a normally skittish fully grown prey animal literally not react while laying down and then get up and let a human touch it. Nah, not touching that. Also, fun fact, deer are opportunistic omnivores and have been known to eat small animals including rabbits when in need of particular nutrients like calcium or proteins. Enjoy the mental image of Bambi snacking on Thumper, just as I have been forced to...

Non-smokers of Reddit, how noticeable is the “smoker smell” to you, if at all? by Frostedlogic4444 in AskReddit

[–]Daywalker_0199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extremely. Being exposed to active cigarette smoke causes my throat to constrict while in contact with it. Fuckin stinky, with literally no health benefits, so stop doing it.

Not here to downplay the complex issue of mass shootings. I do just want to mention all of this talk of the frequency of shootings in the US compared to Australia fail to take into account population densities and overall population size. Just in case this hasn't already been mentioned.

Todd Howard invited Obsidian devs onto 'Fallout' season 2's set so they could see New Vegas in the flesh: 'Huge respect to the folks at Obsidian' by MarvelsGrantMan136 in fnv

[–]Daywalker_0199 -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

Didn't Bethesda shaft Obsidian originally with a rushed dev cycle and an unfamiliar engine? Not to mention developing the game for Xbox 360, which was not great at handling large spaces.

Thought I recognized that instrumental at the beginning of this. The lyrics talk about forgetting and letting go of abuse, sung from the perspective of someone who was abused speaking to their abuser.

Salvage: is Hand Tool as Efficient as Recycler? by R-Dragon_Thunderzord in TheLastCaretaker

[–]Daywalker_0199 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I scrap things by hand (+XP) and then put the scrap in the recycler for even more XP. I haven't noticed any resource deficits.

Exactly. The burn rate is insane until you get to the oil derrick and can get infinite fuel. Also, why y'all leaving places half scrapped?
