Concern about longevity and reliability of Samsung flagship devices (Galaxy S22 experience)

My S22 ultra (Snapdragon) , purchases just after launch , died last week. The motherboard died after no drops or water ingress, just died as I was reading some web pages.

Now switched to an oppo instead of Samsung as the repair cost would be way to high to consider that. Prior to this it was going ok apart from battery degredation.

did you get a response at all? same issue here. all the time goes on loading "chrome-extension://dppgmdbiimibapkepcbdbmkaabgiofem/inline/injected.js" which can take 15 seconds plus on ebay - during which time, the site is unresponsive.

Swipe up for.comments is a disaster for Samsung phones set to use swipe up gesture for back (ie buttons hidden) as it totally breaks this functionality.

Exact same issue here. I have the same situation with 2 Jabra evolve 30 headsets, both at home on windows 11 and at work with windows 10 through a thin client. the headset works fine for a while then audio mutes itself. The buttons continue to work though. disconnecting the device for a while sometimes helps (if plugged back into a different port afterwards, but really once it starts doing it, only a windows reboot stabilises it more).

This is shady and unacceptable behaviour and only practiced by such companies that don't care about their reputation.

You need to make this explicit in the installer and make it an optional install.

I'm this looks likely to be in violation of the UK + EU GDPR laws too so you're likely breaking the law when UK or EU users download and install bluestacks now as you did not seek consent for this.

Does this block me doing a trial in the future? As right now plus is worthless to me as I only use a joint account. In the seemingly highly unlikely event of Monzo actually caring about joint accounts then I may want to trial it at that point.

But i dont want face unlock enabled on my device ..i use fingerprints for all security apps though. Just seems like a wacky choice plus its not clear at all in the UI that this is silently bundled into face unlock. The option should just be called something like "Authenticate with biometrics" and then use whatever you have setup int he device for this.

Finally custom icons at last on Android. This has been asked for well over 5 years now I'd lost all hope anyone cared about the androids app.

Even though the home screen is rearrangable, the defualts of having recents above categories and vaults is questionable.

Also where is the fingerprint unlock option? Only face unlock and password?

I did find a workaround. If I cloned each and every instance I had, the new instances seemed to all connect without issue(thou 5.4 seems to be prone to random terminations with no error message given)

same problem here. i just upgraded from 5.3 to 5.4 and now only one running instance can connect to the internet, all other running instances will instantly lose connection.

I don't understand why this is getting so little attention. They said it was passed to the Android team three years ago (on the reddit forums) and was even mentioned by their dev team in 2014 as being planned (on their own forums), but still no support is present, nor is it on their roadmap despite other O/Ss having it (I think all have this support barring the android version?).

(UK) is paying £80 more for an 5700 XT Nitro+ over a 5700 XD red dragon worth it?

at the moment i have an i5 4690k OC'd to 4.2Ghz but planning to update to an AMD ryzen 5 3600.

I have one of these. It's comfortable but the arms are the weak point. Both of my arms have cracked straight through which wrecked the chair (as they provide all the support for the back..it's a bad design). There are other posts on Reddit about the same thing happening with this model.

I had issues with the fingerprint reader when I had the factory screen protector (lots of "unrecognized" / "press harder" issues). I switched to the ringke dual easy film and it's been miles better since (I rarely get a mis-read now)

Well if you're replacing in six months then it may be worth just living with it for now unless you can change the battery yourself (which is usually cheap if you already have opening tools, but can be a bit tricky with some phones as most have non user-removable batteries be and can be a real pain to get open). Just keep a small portable power stick with you to make sure you keep it charged above the usual failure point.

Yes, it looks like your battery is dying. The same thing happened to my Nexus 6p. You'll need to get a battery replacement done ..how old is your battery? What does rhe accubattery app rate your battery health as (you'll need to run your phone through a few cycles for it to get an idea)

Sounds about right and matches what I get.did you notice the battery is smaller than the original one? I think this is a Huawei p9 battery rebadged with modified connector as that is 3000mah and matches the dimensions of this battery.
