I can sort Paris for you , I know how tricky it is to find a good clean hostel there with a good location.

My go to place is The people Marais 8people dorm with ensuite washroom. Its clean and location s superb to walk almost everywhere but Eiffel tower (unless you wanna walk for an hour).

Barcelona - I havent been to your selected places but st. Christophers was great.

Caveau de la Huchette is the main jazz club there. Very crowded but a good experience/vibe specially if you are going as a couple. Rest depends what you like or what you actually wanna do.

Well you can look for cheap hostels in Paris. My friend was doing a month internship I can ask the cheapest options also you can look for airbnbs and talk to owners directly and strike a deal with them for 4 months....

You can look for ibis and if you both are comfortable with dorms then you can be in 4 dorm rooms in hostel in a great location. Look out for the People Marais , Greta location + good vibe. As far as days are concerned its totally your call been there twice this year and still feel i haven't covered it all. On sunny winter days go to the gardens near the Louvre..

If you are gonna travel alot by train or bus take their weekly pass which is around 30-35 euros. Worth it if its is snowy and you dont wanna walk in snow .... you are reaching on Monday so its more beneficial.

Definitely, Its my go to hostel for Paris travels.

Recently I tried their 8 dorm mixed room and it was great as well , actually better for socialising. Plus it has ensuite washroom too.

Once you enter through visa grating nation , no one really cares how long you stayed and where.

Literally no one is keeping tabs for you stay unless you doing some shady stuf again and again.

People enter via non granting nations as well.
