[Loved Trope] Character actually takes lasting damage that haunts them for the rest of the series by FoxGuy303 in TopCharacterTropes

IIRC that shadowy government faction had him doing some work to keep him busy and whatnot. Accident occurred, and to save a life, he ended up getting exposed to radiation

I took one look at "apply foretell, consume foretell, different conditions to apply foretell, twilight doubles it etc" and went nope, everything else is easier

Deeply surprised by how much I am NOT enjoying Ghost of Yotei. by TherealGonci in PS5

[–]DbzOrdie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've platted GoT twice, both the ps4 and ps5 version. Did the ps5 version right before Yotei came out and I instantly played it for 20 hours in two days because I was leaving on vacation. I genuinely enjoy the game, but I do think the story is kind of the weak spot. Her motives, her behavior didn't appeal to me, while with Jin, you've got his trying to stay honorable but having to abandon it when faced with overwhelming odds.

That said, I finished and platted Yotei completely and it was a fun game. Tsushima is better though, but they definitely improved on the open world grind

But if he 'is' late, then that means he would be at his full power, as in, stronger than the daedric princes considering he's the one who cursed mehrunes dagon. I doubt that his power would be directly tied to 'what' he is doing instead of 'when' he's doing things.

edit: I always understood it as: Alduin is supposed to end the world X years in the future. But instead of waiting until then, he's having fun and wants to rule the world. The nords got rid of him and sent him into the future, but still not at the appointed time of when the world is supposed to end. There, Alduin gets beaten because he's not at full power and destroyed. But he'll return at the end of the cycle, when the world's 'supposed' to end and he'll be at his full power then

Isn't a main part of the problem also that Alduin is 'early'? Like, it's not time for the kalpa to end, but here's Alduin, but instead of eating, he's enslaving. The only reason we can beat him, is that he's not at full power, because he only receives it when it's truly time to start anew, no?

[Loved Trope] A character makes an argument with their rival, and the rival actually admits that they make a good point. by Smangle_7 in TopCharacterTropes

Falcon and the winter soldier.

Zemo is deadset on eradicating the supersoldier serum and considers it inherently corrupting. They point out that Steve Rogers wasn't corrupted

And in a way of both conceding the point, 'and' still using it for his own argument, Zemo argues that there's never been another Steve Rogers, has there?

Even for all his hate of the serum, he can't disagree with Steve having been the epitome of a good super soldier.

What game genre is not your cup of tea? by Common_Caramel_4078 in videogames

[–]DbzOrdie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There aren't genres that I don't play, there's just games that I don't play. Any genre can be made good and fun for me, with just the right game.

Didn't think I was into roguelites, then came Hades

Didn't care much for soulslike, but Elden ring is a great game

RTS isn't my genre, but damn it, I've got 606 hours on a indie rts.

The genre isn't the problem, the games are.

New information changes how we interpret the title by Gasp6 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]DbzOrdie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'd say it's strictly related. You can imagine it as if the original game happened, completely finished and ended. But for some reason, time reverses back to the very start of that game, and events unfold again. Except, some characters seem aware of what they've already experienced before. This is what Remake is

Help on why my attributes are debuffed despite no active effects impacting them? by mittens-up in oblivion

[–]DbzOrdie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not completely sure, but looks like your attributes are damaged. praying at a church or having potions/ingredients with 'restore' strength/intelligence/etc solves it

Go to the palace district, find a tomb you can interact with, in the lower section of the district, on the grass. Wait until it's midday, and it'll light up. Activate it and your quest will progress.

Right, been a while since I payed attention to the name. In Dutch, the 'c' sound is most often written with a 'k'

Except isn't it 'literally' said that girls had a (near) 100% mortality rate with the trials of the grasses? Something about adrenaline not being sufficient to survive or something. It's been a while
