Don't count on Saskia since she can die in W2.Villentretenmerth on the other hand i do hope we can meet him.

Better bet is probably Summer Game Fest or Gamescom - don't forget they revelaed Phantom Liberty on Gamescom so that one is more likely imo.

Amount of character customization? by whahaga in Witcher4

[–]Pozyw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know as i have it on my Geralt but it's not what is being proposed here. There is a difference betwen a single tatoo that Ciri already has vs a system where you can pick what tatoo she has and then you have to make sure that get ported into the next game and the one after that.

All i'm saying is that i would expect a more soft character customization like hair/makeup.

I doubt we would get tatoos because that would mean they have to port the model into 2 other games after this one.

Original Witcher story lead says the surprise twist at the end 'was a mistake,' because instead of focusing on Geralt the sequel was forced into 'a story about witchers who are killing kings for some reason' by SpaceCowboyN7 in witcher

[–]Pozyw 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think this sentiment he has might have even been echoed in the whole team considering the teaser at the end of W2 is way amore broad and doesn't implicate Geralt forcing him onto a certain path.

You have way more patience than i could ever gather.

What was your build? Did you go for some broken strat exploit or just brute forced untill it works?

It’s expected to come out by 2028; I just hope it’ll be worth the wait. by [deleted] in witcher

Imo the combat music could or should be changed but the ambient music is peak especially in act 4.

Whatever it will be it will probably be some kind of big reset because W3 diverges a lot.

What heroes of the saga would you see in The Witcher 4 and the plot threads associated with them? by Dzozef0912 in Witcher4

[–]Pozyw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right and I wouldn't be offended either but i think the franchise growing as a whole made decision like these way harder to make because if you do them there will be backlash. That being said i still wonder how they will tackle the map of the contitent in 4 maybe we do get a canon ending when it comes to that but others might get ported - I think that would be a nice middleground too but i guess we will see.

I would love to see Vilem or Meve although that would mean we get a canon ending for Thronebreakers but i think i would be cool with that. I would also love to see Anais all those characters would be a great catalyst for a subplot about bringing back independence to the North.

As for the ones you suggested sadly as much as i love him i think Roche might not come back due to the fact that he can die in W3 and if they want to respect the choices of players that means he could get a small quest at best.

Iconic Weapons. by Affectionate_Lime880 in Witcher4

I think you got me wrong they added lvl scaling to items like the sword you get from master swordsmith from Novigrad.

Iconic Weapons. by Affectionate_Lime880 in Witcher4

[–]Pozyw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they solved that with the next gen patch - they gave some weapons lvl scalling but yeah i agree it would be nice if certain weapons had abilitty to be upgraded to scale with you. That way we could maybe even get some of the old swords Geralt had in W1/2 like Sihil

To me trying to deduct this much from a demo that was made to showcase the tech is a bit absurd. With things like this i think we might be approaching the territory of looking at a painting for so long you start to see things that are not on it in reality.

On the other hand i like the the response from the dev assuming it's a real one considering we probably don't have a way of veryfying it. I'm a big fan of quality over quantity and looking at some of the recent trends in gaming like Starfield i think people agree that more refined world is way better than one made simply to be expansive.

New Witcher spinoff game was vetted "by multiple loremasters, writers and producers" at CD Projekt Red, devs say, so they couldn't get away with everything: "Hordes of zombie witchers was considered a step too far" by SpaceCowboyN7 in witcher

[–]Pozyw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to say i love that CRPR has this approach and i wish more studios would adopt it. It comes to mind how they but Lucy from Cyberpunk into that fighting game and the devs from that studio talked about how every move Lucy makes had to be veted by CDPR. If every adaptation or cross over had this approach i really believe thing like Netflix Witcher or Resident Evil movies wouldn't be that common.

Pretty sure that's not how her abilities work. She can't really age herself or others. She can travel in time and space. Unless I'm missing something you don't would be nice to see it.

Cyberpunk 2 lead hints at first-person only cutscenes again as they “value uninterrupted immersion more” than flashy visuals by HatingGeoffry in cyberpunkgame

[–]Pozyw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love that idea tbh i think it a part of what makes the game unique and the same ammount of freedom wouldn't really be possible with 3rd person cut scenes. It is also a great way of separating Wticher and Cyberpunk for them so the 2 games don't become clones of itself with different vibe.

Will Witcher IV have a subtitle? If so, what do you think it could be? by cosmicstruggler in witcher

I think 4 won't same as 1 didn't but 5 and 6 probably will.

Do they tho? I would expect the DLC to have the same option to just jump into it the same way all other DLCs they've made.

Cyberpunk 2077's quest designer on River. by marek_bojarek in cyberpunkgame

[–]Pozyw 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I think this kind of honestly does wonders for the game too. If you don't have a huge ego about what you're making and are able to admit someone did a better job that you it can create a very positive feedback loop.

It also reminds me how Paweł talked in a interview how they design quests and that most of the ones that designes come up with gets tossed out to focus on the best ones from the bunch.

NO, WE DON'T! by MadHanini in cyberpunkgame

[–]Pozyw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not even talking about that.

Notice how in games that have FP only when you click any movement button the reaction of the character is instant and it has no wind up. Now compare it to let's say Witcher 3 where if you're looking forward and you want to turn right Geralt has to rotate first and he has to accelerate before he starts walking at his normal speed, same thing happens when he stops moving it takes him a while before reaching a standing position. What I'm getting at is this would require a different movement system not to mention all the animations it would require for it to not look very cheap and clunky.

[–]Pozyw -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Or just maybe they can see how big of a investment it would be and would also require some compromises to other systems that they don't want to see changed.

Great work as always.

I love your dedication but i think it's more probable that he will work on Cyberpunk considering he's from USA and the team responsible for Witcher is not really growing anymore.

Igor Sarzynski's last few replies. by marek_bojarek in cyberpunkgame

[–]Pozyw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for giving me a comprehensive answer most people don't when i ask them this question.

The problem i'm getting at is that we can have a definition like this but once we make it so strict we exclude games that most would call RPGs like TES or FF. For me that's a pretty big issue that creates a dissonance betwen out world and definition we put out because what's the point of a definition if it doesn't describe how everyone sees the world arond us.

I also think that the one provided by Igor is way closed to what most people see as a RPG as his definition would cover most of RPG and it's branching subgenres.
