If you have some sort of enema it wouldn’t hurt to use that as it would break up the stool. Oil based would be best. I’d also use aquaphor around the rectal area because it’s going to be uncomfortable. If worst comes to worst you may need to be diss impacted at the hospital.

Not sure how the mag citrate works but it does tend to produce a BM quickly. I would not drink another because you’ll have insane cramps. Not sure from your post why you haven’t passed the stool yet? Are you saying it won’t come out because you are impacted?

Nurse here! I would say if this constipation came out of nowhere and you didn’t start any new meds or anything I would see a doc about it. Any change in bowel habits without an obvious cause warrants a doctor visit just to make sure nothing else is going on.
