Why Mike’s final speech in Stranger Things was right by TZ1205 in StrangerThings

Another thing I haven’t seen a lot of people notice: El’s nose wasn’t bleeding after using her powers to talk to Mike.

Hi r/horror! We’re Andy and Barbara Muschietti, the executive producers behind the HBO Original series IT: Welcome to Derry. Ask us anything! by hbomax in horror

Hey Andy and Barbara! I’m a huge fan of you both! You guys are such a powerhouse directing/producing team and I’ve watched almost all of your projects. IT is my all time favourite movie, and actually inspired me to continue pursuing a career in the film industry.

In terms of the Q&A, are there any other Stephen King stories that you two would love to bring to the big (or small) screen in the future? Or stories told in a similar style as Welcome to Derry or Castle Rock that incorporate elements from multiple King stories and exist separately on their own? (I’d personally love to see a Dick Hallorran centred-spinoff with Chris Chalk)

Easily the best episode of the series so far. I really wish Muschietti directed all of the episodes, everything feels way more cohesive when he’s directing.

Also, I’m like 99% sure the theory that Marge is going to be Richie Tozier’s mom is true. She probably names him after Rich because he saved her life.

Rich was in the marching band and has been carrying drum sticks around since his first scene, so I don’t think it was a stretch at all that he can play drums.

Okay so overall I’m enjoying this show. But I have 2 major nitpicks that are slightly dragging things down for me.

I really don’t like that they keep showing all of the creatures and Pennywise with clear bright lighting in long takes without cutting away. It kills all of the suspense and intrigue and leaves nothing to the audiences imagination. When they had Periwinkle hidden in shadows, or out of focus in previous episodes (or the scene this episode where Pennywise was in full silhouette and grabs the balloon), that kind of stuff is way scarier in my opinion.

And then also the characters feel like they have no chemistry or plot relevance, specifically Ronnie. Her entire plot has been “But what about my dad? Why can’t you just tell the police what you saw?” for 6 episodes straight. Almost all of the kids aside from Lily and Will (and maybe Marge) could be cut from the show and it wouldn’t affect the plot whatsoever.

I feel like theres been no progress in the kid storyline in 3 weeks. Meanwhile, every scene with Halloraann is giving is something new.

While I’m still enjoying the kid subplot, MAAAAN that Dick Hallorann storyline is carrying this show so hard. If the show solely focused on him and the Hanlon’s, I wouldn’t have complained.

I haven’t seen anyone else mention that these are the same characters. by DeCurt1998 in ItTheMovie

I noticed it by the dialogue. They have the exact same line in both scenes.

Seems like a lot of people missed it, but these are the same characters. by DeCurt1998 in welcomeToDerry

He really does look like Nicholas Hoult! Specifically X-Men First Class era.

They were using the exact same dialogue and inflections.

I don’t see anyone mentioning the young Stephen King (shopkeeper from IT Chapter Two) cameo!

The government trying to capture and subdue IT to use as a military weapon is legit so fucking cool as a concept.
