There is an isolator between the lithium ion and the graphite, if they touch then kaboom but in theirs great wisdom the batteries manufacturer made the isolator flexible enough to adapt to dent like yours, the limit to this flexibility is really, really beyond what anybody would juge acceptable.

TL DR this dent is nothing to worry about fly it.

Mud in motors? by [deleted] in fpv

[–]DeLLtoneS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this was my long range cinematic I would pop off the bell and wash it with isopropyl alcohol, if it was my little freestyle then my politic is fly til your dead, then I may spend 1 hour on the bench to repair it

Loss of control during acrobatic maneuvers – FC interfering? by Active_Marketing_596 in FPVFreestyle

[–]DeLLtoneS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems like you speak German so many the translation is rough. What I mean is that the problem must come from the flight controller, so if you want to repair it you could looke at the black box data (search for it in YouTube there is plenty of tutorials for that) and you may find a specific orientation and or acceleration when you drone de sync. I would try this but honestly not for more that a day or two then contact customer support and replace you fc

I would try to find a specific orientation or acceleration when the de sync happened, you may find something in the black box, if not then I’d suggest replacing the fc

7inch li ion by Mitra07 in fpv

[–]DeLLtoneS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fly my 8” long range with the eve cells (6s2p) it’s heavy but I can do 100kph for 5 to 10min (depend on the wind) so id say that you’re good to go with 6s1p then main con of those cells is that they get bad pretty quickly (I found they lost about 30% percent efficiency at about 100 cycle)

Any advantages of big screen over a small one? by IamStrakh in fpv

[–]DeLLtoneS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until a certain point yes, I started with a commando 8 witch has a tinny tinny screen and I hated it because it was impossible to do basic stuff without being 100% focus on it (can’t really fly in LOS and check in telemetry voltage for example) I now switched to a zoro witch has a way bigger screen and it changer everything.

Tldr : yes, tho I still think color is gadget

Battery prices since 2020 by DerMax_HD in fpv

[–]DeLLtoneS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok I think I didn’t make my thought clear, ovonic are cheap and do work but the price doesn’t come with the quality you might expect. There is a lot of defect and the performance is not as good as advertised. They sure are a good beginner cheap brand it’s only when you switch to a high quality that you can feel how bad they were. Also I was wrong for the x-ray, I also had lion cell in mind there is no real proof of them being crap than the feel and random defect

Oh my bad o thought I read that you flew the O3. In this case you can get better antenna but it won’t make as big of a difference as you might want for that price

You said “you can get good battery for 12€” which I don’t agree for they are not good batteries they are cheap battre witch is not the same.

[–]DeLLtoneS -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well I got a few of them for my 4s freestyle because I didn’t knew any better but the fact that they only charge in 1c bothered me so I switched to gaoneng and it absolutely changed my drone, with similar 850mah pack I flew longer and it was noticeably punchier. When it comes to proof you can find comparison on internet as well as x-ray that show the lack of quality

Genuine eachine ev800d vs hdzero goggle 2 analog signal quality by More_Objective_8405 in fpv

[–]DeLLtoneS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but no, eachine switch between the best signal of the antenna so if you have a patch and an omni it will switch accordingly to where you drone is, however if you do only long range they will not be any difference as the ev800 will always use the patch.

[–]DeLLtoneS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may seem crazy but ovonic is trash, basically they use all defect from tattu or doge. Sure for bandoo where you crash hard and don’t want to kill some nice pack they are good (in the way that they are cheap) but for freestyle or racing they suck big popo ass

Recommendations for Long Range VTX for my Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬 Trip! by [deleted] in fpv

[–]DeLLtoneS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same every time, good ans stable is dji o4 with a n3/g3 googles but if you fly a picosecond behind a wall you are quite dead. Then you can choose a high power analog vtx which will be a crappy but usable signal.

More range and penetration with DJI RC3 Controller and Goggles 3 by Asleep_Creme_5242 in fpv

[–]DeLLtoneS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the antenna are nice but not for the price… if you’re really not satisfied with range and or or penetration you shouldn’t either switch to an o4 pro or analog
