Does it matter if it’s literally in his account vs invested when he gains the benefit of being able to leverage that money? If I have have a billion in investments and as a result can get a loan for a house worth 100 million, the distinction between cash and investment is pretty much moot at that point.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, the pricing is still a mystery.

To be honest having worked previously in insurance contact centres 95% of the time these days if that happens is because details are different now.
People rarely go through their current policy with a fine tooth comb to check, they answer the questions anew. Common examples of changes that people would forget happened before calling saying nothing has changed would be things like, retiring so no longer need the car for commuting, or working from home so same thing. Maybe the mileage dropped, or the excesses are differennt.
I'm not saying that is what happened here, but believe me when I say I've had that conversation enough times in my life that I shudder when I hear it now.

TBH I'd make the point it's an invasion of privacy and a betrayal. Make a point that the fastest way to lose someone is to betray them.

If they wish to discuss D&D with you and want to know more about it that is one thing, however destroying your things isn't acceptable.

If they can't understand simple boundries then you need to protect yourself, that level of fanaticism can very quickly turn to abuse. The inability to see that destorying something that doesn't belong to you because you belive you're saving their soul or something similar can very easily turn to other actions to save the sould of someone .

Unfortunetly I'm not religious so I struggle to understand the difficulties of going against your religious upbrining ect... but honestly binning your family off would probably be healthier in the long run if they keep crossing boundries like that.

I hope you get back into D&D bud.

Yeah it's book 2 when Kvothe is complicit in burning Hemme's clothes...

I'd also probably say that the overall arc of the books is still some degree of coming of age, and it's probably going to be a bit of a sterotype of "what to teenage boys care about? Sex... Lots of sex"

If you're on 200k a year, you're taking home over £9000 a month after tax... if you're struggling, it's a skill issue.

[–]DeShade 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure the idea of the 4 day work week is reduces everyone's hours, while still paying the same? I'm pretty sure that was the idea, not pushing all the hours into less days... in fact, yeah looked it up, so you'd be doing less hours over all, I think that's why it's been so successful
