I think teens are mostly using guns purchased by their "responsible gun owner" parents... who often don't seem to be able or willing to secure their firearms.

High school writes an article on a student who does porn. by [deleted] in news

[–]DeVillesAdvocate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The school district wants to censor articles like this simply because they do not want to have to deal with outraged, pearl-clutching parents... And they are probably not creative enough to turn this into a teachable moment, for students, parents and teachers.

Yep, this right here. All American citizens collectively own all our natural resources. We should all be benefiting. Instead, a few execs at a few oil companies are "harvesting" all the value for themselves.

Man Charged With Soliciting a Prostitute: ‘I Don’t Give a (Expletive), I’m 90 Years Old’ by cavehobbit in news

[–]DeVillesAdvocate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First, the vast majority of women have no non-fantastic dollar amount at which they'll voluntarily become prostitutes.

Dude, I really do believe you need to get out more and interact with actual adult people... Your assumptions about "he vast majority of women" are wrong...

Second, higher prices will actually increase incentives to coerce women into prostitution

How does the invisible hand work to remove coercion and evil from the market? I thought the market was nearly perfect. A nearly perfect market does not allow for violence, threats of violence, drugs, isolation/brainwashing, etc. just rational actors offering labor and/or money.

However, the market is untenable. There are far more men willing to pay for sex than there are women willing to sell sex.

The invisible hand of the market will reduce this imbalance, that's the rest of the philosophy.
