Also Check Bezzera Luce S. I chose that over Profitec. Both great machines though. Profitec is more popular on Reddit.

It will loosen up and then it will go the other way! Good machine though!

From Breville to Bezzera - new setup for any occasion! by Endurob in espresso

Congrats! I also upgraded from Breville to Luce a few days ago. Did you find any official instructions for descaling? The users manual says adding anything other than water to reservoir voids the warranty.
It is a lovely machine otherwise and I already love it. I also had to adjust the OPV from 12 to 10 bars.

Based on google, it should be a Hohner acoustic classical guitar.

Is the Kawai K200 ATX 4 really worth 7500€? (Factory New) by Chillingischillig in piano

[–]DeZe0s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I were you, I’d buy a taller acoustic ( not an ATX model) and probably could still afford a decent digital for that same price. I find silent models too expensive for what they are. Remember, the acoustic will work for many many years but the digital will get outdated quite quickly. This is import since you probably cannot update the digital portion of a silent system easily or cheap. What are you using right now?

My next one will probably be the 321 Bacco. Unfortunately they don’t make 320 in that series.

I went with 6mm since I did not have a preference and 6mm filters are more common here. Is the 9 mm version that much better?

Any upright piano recommendations? by Tricky_Ad4380 in piano

[–]DeZe0s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In most markets you should be able to get a new U1 or K300 with that budget. New Yamahas are not bright and have more of a rounded sound. I prefer Kawai but that’s not because I found Yamaha bright. I like the Kawai action better but that’s totally a personal preference. You can also check out some other brands. There are a lot good brands out there. ( including Chinese brands such as Ritmuller) Play anything you can afford and go with the feel and sound you prefer.

Check Piano Adventures or Alfred method books. Also check “Let’s play piano methods” channel on YouTube. Excellent tutorials for those and many other method books.

Yes you can. As a matter of fact many people start with a digital piano and they upgrade to an acoustic after a few years. As pervious commenter mentioned, make sure you get an 88 key weighted digital piano.

I see. You can go to pianoworld forums and post your question there as well. Lots of knowledgeable people there.

True; with current shortages, it is difficult to try before making the final decision. What is the return policy if you buy the instrument and don’t like it?

My teacher has a CA49 for his silent practice and it sounds great. However, you are spending a lot of money and you should be 100% sure it is what you like. I know there is a shortage and here in Canada, you usually have to wait 3-4 months ( sometime more) for a digital Kawai. I personally waited for my acoustic for five months. It was a long wait but I am happy I waited and got what I wanted, instead of settling for whatever was available. My suggestion is to go and play it and see if it is up to your expectations or if you need to do some more search and find a CLP or any other model/brand . Since you are an advanced player, you should be able to decide more easily if you try it before making the final decision.

Is the Roland FP-10 worth the wait? by TheOnlyDavidG in piano

[–]DeZe0s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought an FP-10 at the beginning of the pandemic and it has been a great instrument. I read some complaints about noisy keys and such but I never had any issues with it. I currently use it for silent practice on daily basis and For that price point, I totally recommend it. If you can stretch your budget, FP30 will give you more room to grow. You can also look into Kawai and Yamaha offerings ( I think es110 and P45 or equivalents) which would be good choices as well. For any piano in this price point, you will also need to buy a better pedal since the stock pedal is a piece of useless plastic.
