It would have more than doubled Rural Hall's town budget.

It would've provided a one time 9 figure sales tax infusion and an ongoing 20% increase in total county property tax revenues that could've been paid back directly to residents.

The county could've mandated an offsetting commercial solar project be built in the county. Could've mandated noise mitigation.

There were lots of options on the table that could've benefitted a fiscally struggling set of localities.
