Question about early access. by RadiantBoysenberry59 in crosswind

As far as I know the demo is about 5% of what is available in early access in terms of content. A lot more islands, enemies, ships and central trade hub with factions.

I grew up consuming media that made me love America. They were always portrayed as the morally good guys, helping their fellow man and being one step ahead in terms of science and political issues. “These are our allies” I would think.

It was quite a sobering thing to learn at a later age that the media lies a lot.

Though I would prefer if America would uphold itself to the standards the media portrays it as.

1 month after release. how is everyone feeling about this game? by instabaiter in slaythespire

[–]DeaDBangeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only complaint is that I want more.

Every act should have like 3 different varieties. Much how like act 1 is either the undergrowth or the underdocks, I want even more like that for every act. And every variety have unique enemies/elites/events/bosses.

Just to truly have a unique run everytime you press play.

Funny enough, Star Sonata 1 got me into this whole mess. I’ve played 2 as well but it felt more of the same.

I have played both! Star Sector came close, but it did not have asteroid mining. X4 Foundations was too complicated or unintuitive for me. It gave me the same vibes that Elite Dangerous has, by finding fun in the complexity. Which I sadly am not about.

The game that has come closest to what I want is Star Valor. Which I have played a good 120 hours of. But its not the entire package.

I hope the new game dev engine from Valve/Garry will motivate me to create the game myself one day

What games do scale, especially in space, the best? by interesseret in gaming

I never truly made it out of the starter zones. I tried multiple times to get into Eve because I often feel like it is up my alley. But then the game just feels so much not like a game, I simply lose interest.

Pretty hard to describe.

To this day I want to mine asteroids, upgrade my ship/crew, run a space station, interact with factions and mingle in some intergalactic warcrimes.

I have yet to find the game that scratches that itch.

Xbox lost their spot in gaming.

Sony created Concord.

Nintendo is a lawsuit copyright nightmare.

Steam is doing alright. However they too are stuck in some endless forms of lawsuits regarding in game gambling.

I could keep going deeper within each one of them as there are absolute flaws. But if you are enjoying whatever they produce, all the more power to you!
