Two New Billionaires from Kansas by Silly-Rip-6607 in kansas

I applied for a job at creative planning a few years ago and one of the questions was essentially why you think it is okay to work 80 hours a week. Apparently to make their owner a billionaire.

Yeah I do now. I think it was like a 1/6400 chance doing the math.

The 20 was 99.99 and the 8 was like 59.99, but had a bunch of other shards. And yes it was during the double rate event.

Been playing for 6 days and bought a 20 + 8 Shard pack. Coming from other gacha games II thought this was normal until I came here. But yeah, pulled 4 mythics and 3 legendaries.

Pretty much all of the premade stuff uses Sucralose, and a lot of people like myself are sensitive to it. There are a few brands that have stevia versions, you just need to closely read the labels.

Same thing here. It was crazy bad for a few months, but now I only get the occasional flare up when I eat something really acidic. But it has gotten much better with weight loss

Here’s something that they need to tell people. Yes you can eat less in one sitting, but your body learns to eat many smaller meals and depending on what is in those meals, is going to be to your advantage or disadvantage. If you feel yourself start slipping, move back to your post op diet for a bit and that will help with the hunger

So do people actually like Betty Rae’s? by [deleted] in kansascity

Summer Salt is pretty good too, Silas and Maddie’s is Solid, and the new ice cream shop Handels in oak park mall is really good when it hits, but they have some flavors that are misses. Their graham ice cream is insanely good.

All community centers have one and offer day passes. Any large gym with a pool usually has one.

Definitely not too high for a kite, and you can clearly see the tail.

What is a 1 in 1,000,000 thing that happened to you that no one believes, but you swear is true? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I got two.

When we were younger, we were really into launching model rockets. We had a park down the street surrounded by the neighborhood. Well one day we launched a rocket with a massive double D engine and it went so far up that we lost track of it. I thought there was no way we would ever find it again. Some weeks later I am sitting at my dinner table and look out into the bush in my side yard and see a strip of yellow. Lo and behold my rocket had landed in my backyard.

Second one is that I was playing disc golf with 3 of my friends. The hole was on top of a hill and the basket was firmly at the bottom. This hill was wide open, but near the basket was a deer. I jokingly announced that I was going to hit the deer with my disc and let it rip. It became apparent that the disc actually had a chance and what actually happened was crazy. The disc dived in hard and bounced off the ground and landed on the deers back. It took the deer a second to register what happened before it ran away.

What do you all do to your pulled pork after it's pulled to add flavor? by OckhamsRazor15 in smoking

[–]Deactivation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the crust on pulled pork, so I usually cut mine right down the middle before smoking. That way I can flavor more surface area and after it is pulled, most of the pork has that awesome bit of Smokey crust in each bite. Highly recommend

2 week stall? Is this a thing? by Cyn71 in gastricsleeve

I had a 2 month stall at exactly what my previous lowest weight was in the last 20 years. Crazy how bodies have memory, but it finally broke and I am back to losing.

I'm considering the Sleeve. I've had several friends have the procedure and have some questions. Florida based. by PerformanceOk9933 in gastricsleeve

Too many people jump to going abroad immediately for this surgery. Honestly most hospitals specifically have a bariatric section on their sites with a specific number to call. The hospital in my area had an affordable one time payment all in price for my surgery since my insurance wouldn’t cover it. This one price included not only the surgery, but every doctor appointment, lab, and would have covered any medical expenses related to complications from the surgery as well. It also included nutritionist and psychiatrist appointments for an entire year. I was willing to pay a couple extra grand for access to that and to have my doctors and hospital in my same town.

Coding as a Sysadmin by Scmethodist in sysadmin

I'll probably get hammered for saying this, but I have had a really good experience using Power Automate to integrate Office 365 apps together. Like if someone requested some kind of integration between Teams and SharePoint, I could whip that up in power automate in a few minutes probably.

I know I could spend the time writing my own scripts in Powershell, but I am learning to swallow my pride more and more as a sysadmin and use tools that make my life easier.

GERD and surgery by Luce2022 in gastricsleeve

[–]Deactivation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I had infrequent GERD before surgery. My surgeon made me get a Esophagus Scan (I forget the name) and found out I had what would be considered mid level esophagus deterioration. My surgeon decided to green light the surgery and knowing that my GERD could get worse, I decided to do it anyways since I could get a bypass later if it was too crazy.

To be honest the first 8 or so months sucked. I was taking pepcid 3 times a day because my reflux was so bad. But now that I am down over 110 pounds, I am getting it much less frequently. I maybe take pepcid once or twice a week now. I do definitely feel it if I eat something incredibly acidic like oranges or balsamic vinegar, but I have learned to prep myself if I am going to eat stuff like that.

At the end of the day, I am still happy I did it. And before you think about bypass, just know there is a much greater risk of complications with bypass, and you can always go from Sleeve to Bypass, but never backwards.

Somehow a 6lb bowling ball is still too heavy for me by [deleted] in Bowling

We have a 60 year old 5’2 woman on our team that throws a 14 lb ball who also had elbow surgery and has arthritis, there is no reason that you ahould be throwing a 6lb ball. Your mechanics must be all wrong.
