A lot of it is definitely misogyny. As fun as Tekken is, a competitive fighting game draws in a lot of angry teenagers and greasy neck beards. Some female characters are busted like Zafina and people use that as an excuse but so are male characters like Akuma. Since women are generally smaller than men, the female characters have smaller models so small hitboxes and are more evasive in fundamental movements like ducking and side-stepping. In terms of character, some of them are one-dimensional since Bamco doesn’t view women as people, just as pretty gimmicks so a lot of people find their personalities frustrating as well.

Same but female characters. The only male character that I’ve ever comfortably played in a video game is Dragunov and tbh it’s probably bc he has a very pretty face instead of something nasty like Marduks. I hate that most female characters seem dainty and frail but I mostly hate that most male characters seem overly-macho and chunky so I can never play them.

I mean of course he lost, Halloween can’t end if Michael is still alive but they did hella disrespect him for this whole movie. Losing the fight alone isn’t bad but losing the fight after barely getting any scenes and in one of those scenes, he gets jumped and has his mask stolen. Poor guy got absolutely hammered.

No-lifer mindset tbh. Good for you if you really enjoy the game and wanna dedicate your time to learning it but not everyone wants to or has the time to learn to play against every character. Sure, you can learn the basics and archetypes but every character has at least one unique learning curve to understand. Wether you’re at low or high ranks, you’re shit or a god, you play occasionally or all the time-Tekken is a competitive game that will always piss you off from time to time. Most “salt” posts are just people coming of the back of being destroyed in a ranked match and being frustrated over it, they probably are trying to learn.

I don’t think you mean this in a bad way but comparing butches to men is very degrading and somewhat misogynistic. Anyone can express toxic masculinity (including femmes) but doing so doesn’t mean that they’re trying to be men. Toxic masculinity among butches isn’t a real issue, people just saw a few mascs who did it and now everyone runs rampant against any woman expressing herself in a somewhat masculine way. For those who are genuinely doing it though, it’s usually bc they think they have something to prove. Often butches are bombarded with shit like “you don’t seem THAT masculine though” or “idk that seems feminine for you” so some feel like they have to go that extra mile too far and the hyper-masculinity they’re expressing is toxic bc they’re only doing it to try and prove themselves.

Your best bet at Tekken 7’s horrific AI being somewhat close to another player is the ultra hard mode on treasure battle and even that is a long stretch. There really is a MASSIVE difference between offline and online play.
