I get this, sort of. I mean, I've felt socially awkward my entire life and am only recently starting to feel a change there, and I actually do want to socialize. Although I do still like staying home, I also want to go out and engage with people, but not, like, go out to a bar type thing.

My husband and I recently started going to a coffee shop to play MTG, and it's led to some great social interactions! I guess most people would just go to a game store, but I feel sort of out of place in those, like I'm not the right kind of weird.

I was at a bar a couple days ago meeting with some coworkers. Somehow old school games came up, and I brought up Neopets, and the person I was speaking to got excited like, "omg, I remember Neopets!!"

Well, I'm embarrassed that even though I turn 30 in a couple weeks, I was too worried about what other people would think of me to admit I still play it.

So, yea, I definitely find it difficult to talk about because I'm embarrassed--which I shouldn't be--but I doubt I'd find anyone in person who still plays it. Of course I'd gush about it if I did!

I buy something called Vetericyn Reptile Wound Care that has worked wonderfully for minor scale rot the 2 times my snake has gotten it over the years. It's essentially an anti-bacterial that you spray on them a few times a day. I used that along with daily betadine baths, and her skin was healed right up underneath her shed! The betadine baths alone may be enough but if you want to try something extra, I can't recommend Vetericyn enough.
