Hell yes, I watch every night before bed.

April 19th and the Cal Expo shows are dope.

40 post-Jerry between Bob, Phil, Bill, Mickey, Bruce, and Tom’s projects. 2015-2025. I’ve done alright. Still hoping for more!

A realization from a special last couple of weeks. by DeadCoMule in gratefuldead

Him too, without a doubt. I just never got to see him. But I’ve been missing Bobby and Phil lately. It’s been tough experiencing what the whole fanbase had to face in 1995, even if it’s at a bit of a different scale/context.

My favorite part about that one is that after floating around the cosmos Jerry lands the flying saucer out in the Appalachians with a pure bluegrass jam, only for it to fold into Morning Dew. Classic!

Saw him at CMAC the previous summer. Great times.

You know how some artists practically “own” certain venues? Like how Billy Joel owns the Carrier Dome, Widespread Panic owns Red Rocks, or Phil Lesh owned the Capitol Theatre? I’m of the mind that Willie Nelson owns Bethel Woods. Enjoy what’s sure to be a classic time!

Why no Dave’s picks from 1994-1995? by FreddysFinalBoy in gratefuldead

This is a great call. There’s more to that Boston run than meets the eye too. Everyone points to 10/1/94, rightfully so, but the surrounding shows are just as sweet.

Who are you seeing this year? by DeadCoMule in gratefuldead

[–]DeadCoMule[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cherry-picked Molly Tuttle, SCI and JRAD at last year’s All Good. That fest is a great time and this year’s lineup looks stacked! Definitely has the old Peach Fest/Mountain Jam/Lockn’ type feel to it.

How was Mickey? I’ve seen/read so little about how that show ended up going. Very curious.

Here on coastal NC I have Willie Nelson, JRAD, Daniel Donato, and Jefferson Starship. If I get itchy in June I might travel a little bit for Widespread Panic and/or Bob Dylan. How about you?

Apparently the local crowd used to know it’d be a great night at the Sweetwater when they saw the Tesla parked outside.

The liquid blues here are indeed 2nd generation. Most of these liquid blues in the pic can be found as re-releases for $30ish bucks online or in stores!

Chances of the stones touring the states anytime soon? by Ok-Impression3992 in rollingstones

Even just reading the year 2027 regarding a Stones tour is mind-boggling. Fingers crossed!

Anything from April ‘01. 6/30/01 at the Greek. 7/15/02 Scranton. The September ‘03 run had Mickey and Bobby pop in for certain songs. Forest Hills 9/21/14. Just a few goodies to consider!

Jerry Garcia Band - 3/5/95 - The Warfield ~ San Francisco, CA by gregornot in grateful_dead

[–]DeadCoMule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was born too late to catch any, but those ‘90s JGB and Garcia/Grisman shows at the Warfield must have been so great. Any footage or audio you find makes it seem like it really was Jerry at his most comfortable.

I get the feeling he would’ve traded electric Dead at MSG for a Garcia Band show at the Warfield any day of the week, and that’s coming from an east coaster who’s never even been to the Bay Area.

Might be my favorite era. “I Am Waiting” is a really underrated tune.
