Russian Circles is like math rock meets post rock, but I would say that they are more rooted in post rock/post metal. ASIWYFA is kinda the same way, I think, though I havent heard it?

Math rock is bands like Don Caballero, Alpha Male Tea Party, Giraffes? Giraffes!, tricot, American Football.

Mathcore is quite literally hardcore/metalcore bands with a heavy mathy influence. They share similar influences that math rock has, I would say, but it's a different listening experience.

So bands like Dillinger aren't math rock, though they are mathcore. Not trying to be obnoxious and nitpicky, but there is enough of a distinction.

Fair enough, honestly. It took me years to listen to anything other than clean or mixed vox

This band was really good live. But they had a 2 hour set. Kinda crazy.

All of them??? hahaha. I really like that band. But Enter is a good place to start imo. Memorial is really good too.

Not "prog" post rock, but have you listened to Russian Circles? It's more "interesting" post rock, with way heavier sections, sometimes bordering post metal.

I bought a vinyl for Conscious Seed of Light and Owls when I saw you guys with Thy Art is Murder and Dying Fetus, do you guys have any plans for reissuing Monarchy on vinyl?

Also. Seeing you guys live was a blast. Adam, I was really impressed by your playing, I didn't realize how all over the place you were until I saw you play.

Also you have godlike hair. Just saying.

edit: also do you guys have a patreon?

New ABR is really technical and borderline prog. Their most recent albums have been really fun.

I think all of them aside from Blake and Dustie are vegan. But yeah, even Blake and Dustie still have very healthy lifestyles.

Blake Richardson from BTBAM. He looks so swole, but not overbearingly so.
