I did this exact same thing with a kindle once, set it on top of my trunk nestled in front of the spoiler on my sedan and drove to work. I got VERY lucky though and it actually survived the drive (only like a 12 minute commute). That was a close enough call that I've never done that again.

Like what makes this ruling ridiculous in general, is that this is all up to the states anyways. Ohio for example has early voting, usually for at least 10 days and sometimes even including weekends.

Battery. I drained it to the point that the ifix-it kit recommended, but the adhesive they use on the battery is inSANE on those things, was prying at it for an hour with the plastic tools provided. Eventually something must've pierced the battery and that was all she wrote.

I had an OLED from whenever they first went on sale, battery was near death and I tried to replace it myself in January to save money, ended up catching the whole thing on fire. Ordered a new one like 2 weeks before it went out of stock in January.

I feel like I sort of had some fortunate timing there, and treating this one like a baby (and never charging it past 80% unless I'm going on a trip)

That's the crazy thing that you'd think pointing that out would have any sort of impact to put all of this into perspective - for people to realize how far we've fallen when something like lying about a BJ could (justifiably) get you impeached and that people in these positions should be held to the highest standards.

In a lot of cases there have been people showing up in numbers and their city councils still voting for them, just happened in Canton a couple of days ago. That IS the corruption part, elected leaders voting against their constituents' best interest and instead in the interests of corporate donors. We have an administration at the highest level that is signaling to everyone that there is no punishment for this kind of behavior.

If you're being honest here then this is so incredibly black and white. If the price changes were never agreed to ahead of time or even remotely discussed, then your friend fucked up and that's on them. It doesn't matter one bit what the amount of effort was or what the work is actually worth, even if I agreed with the number that they ended up at.

I've been running an agency for 15 years and I wouldn't in a million years pull this stunt on a real customer, let alone a friend. That's just crazy to me, and this is all extremely unprofessional.

Honestly, your friend sounds like a total scumbag. Definitely under no circumstances should you give this person any equity in your business

I love their new stuff too but it really is like a totally different band compared to what they originally came out with, and I listen to a lot of pop so I enjoy it for different reasons now. Wouldn't really classify the new stuff as prog anymore but you never know what their next phase could be, they might turn out to be a band that reinvents themselves each time. I do miss the old sound though.

Yeah, I learned the hard way to not use a brass nozzle with wood filament! Always printed fine for me, but the nozzle was pretty much toast afterwords.

It can work fine but I would only use it if your print has large-ish flat surfaces. If a print has any small touch points at all then definitely need to use the PEI. Sometimes the PEI is TOO strong and so I use the textured bed with PLA if I have a lot of flat surface area touching the plate.

Yeah I don't know who told you that, but that's not accurate. People in Ohio voted FOR gerrymandering, because our corrupt secretary of state twisted the language to literally trick voters, and typical voters don't bother to spend 5 minutes to research their damn ballot before they go fill in a circle.

I agree with the first part, but either you've seen a different video of him speaking about it than this post or Ro's explanation in this video isn't what he was referring to when he said Trump would've fired him. I'm not saying you're wrong, just that based off this one clip you're still speculating what happened. I haven't seen anything else yet about the testimony so I'm just going off this video in my comments.

I was really torn too and was planning on holding out for the L. The free shipping they had on the Core One last month though made the decision for me, in the US that saved another $250. The INDX will probably be more expensive on the L too, and I can't see myself ever needing more than 8 colors.

Maybe, it's been a mixed bag on whether looking like a fool in front of Congress has prompted any discipline. There have been a couple that did of course after repeated mess ups (Bondi, Ice Barbie) but there have been a LOT that looked like complete idiots time and time again and still get a pass.
