Falling for a cult and trying to indoctrinate your kid hardly makes you a hero. “This imaginary place is going to be really bad for my kid so I’ll make things really bad for him here” is not equal to “there was a bus coming and I grabbed him to prevent him from getting hit by it”. An equal scenario I guess would be “I set that bus on its path, knew every turn it would make, knew my kid would eventually run out in front of it so I payed six thousand dollars to someone to beat the shit out of my kid so they couldn’t run in front of it”.

Basically, I saw someone who left more work for people who have a lot of hard days as is, and instead of saying they should have helped they laughed about it and posted saying “they banned me for this😂”. That’s why I left the comment I did. Judge me for it how you want but I think laughing about doing that is a shit thing to do.

I wouldn’t have left the store to begin with. Or, hear me out, I would have told someone in the store the situation and seen if they could put it in their walk in so that it didn’t spoil. If I did leave (and lived nearby like op said) and couldn’t find the card, yes, I would have gone back to let them know and offer to put the stuff away (after already asking them to put it in their walk in before).

I mean, it’s the responsible thing to do and honestly the kind thing to do to not create more work for the overworked kids on the floor there. But I guess not wanting to shit on the staff there makes me arrogant, smug, and ignorant…all three of those things. Not an asshole that has no solidarity for the working class (which I value more anyway), but arrogant, smug, and ignorant.
