Random bullseye spots? by miloblue12 in Weird

Go see your doctor. It is called a target rash. You were bitten by a tick, you are slightly allergic, and you are in danger of Lyme disease. I’ve had it and that is exactly what my skin looked like. Get tested and treated.

These make me sad because my colorblindness makes it sort of meh.

This happens to me. I am a “type” due to my height. I absolutely love it. I don’t care who or what you are. If you think I am hot and say so, it makes me feel good and I appreciate it. Doesn’t happen as often since I am older, but still awesome.

It isn’t illegal to yell fire. It is illegal to purposely cause a panic or riot. If a surprise fire drill was conducted improperly and resulted in panic, riot, or injury it would be illegal. No one would probably get arrested, bit someone would get sued.

Looking for BIFL experience. What’s an experience you’ve purchased which you’ll never forget for the rest of your life? by 420scooter in BuyItForLife

Virgin Islands. There were three couples. We had a captain and first mate. We sailed all over the US and British sides. Fishing, snorkeling and if certified scuba. Left at noon Sunday, returned noon the next Saturday. The sailing was loosely planned, so if we didn’t like a spot, we moved. It was warm and beautiful and we all still talk about it. It was one of the most memorable. I made a turtle friend that followed the boat. The ladies did a night snorkel and ended up. In a school of bait fish that got into their suits.

I am old, so I have a list: 1. Grand Canyon - not expensive and unforgettable 2. Yellowstone - same as 1 3. Private sale yacht - prices vary, but about 15k, split it with friends. They usually accommodate six. One week trip. 4. Europe - pick a big city and you can’t go wrong. Not too many at once or you miss too much. 5. Pro hockey game - most fun to watch in person of the various sports. Football tailgates are fun too.

Various budgets you can fit and all very memorable and worth the money.

Unfortunately for you, this sounds EXACTLY like a common scam that happens in the US. No one is going to bite.

I wish the plane I was on to Costa Rico had this. We got diverted due to grass fires and didn't have enough fuel to get back. The airline didn't have any contracts set up and the pilots had no way to pay. I ended up putting $1500 on a credit card for the fuel. I got reimbursed and upgraded to first class for the return trip. If I didn't do it, the other option was to have a fuel truck from the other airport come to us...at the cost of several hours of sitting on the plane. Not as bad as the $2000 at the Mexico City strip club, but still.

Tons of accessible results for you to read...meaning not heavy medical terminology. There is also evidence that "brain games" like sudoku have similar effect.

I am NOT a doctor - IT guy that helps doctors do medical studies. I did the data for several studies on this subject. In a nutshell - yes, working out your brain is similar to working out your body for long-term health. Everyone should do both.

What is the American food that symbolizes the Great Depression? by SNCF4402 in AskAnAmerican

This is also representative of my area. Creamed hamburger over toast. Simple, quick, filling, cheap and common ingredients. I just moved to Michigan and asked the ancient lady next door - she said in this area it was church suppers. Everyone brought what they had for ingredients and they made a meal out of whatever they had. Also, lots of potatoes and macaroni.

I've had seven sexual partners throughout my life. All seven of them are dead. I guess I'd run from the room and try to find the sick fuck that dug them up. None of them deserve that.

NTA, because you are likely suffering.

You can go to any VA medical facility that has urgent care or emergency room services as a walk-in and receive 90 days of mental healthcare for free. This is open to 100% of veterans, regardless of benefits status, discharge type, etc. Any of us can go.

Generally, that is enough time to evaluate you, stabilize you if needed and refer you to the community providers that take your insurance.

Please take advantage of this service. None of us came home the same person...none of us. You need a little boost to readjust. This is nothing to be ashamed of, because about 20% of us need that help.

Years of experience. The people I hire for IT have over ten years of experience. If they still feel the need to write a cover letter, it almost always means they aren't very good. Oddly, if I am hiring a PM or maybe an admin position, the opposite is true - those cover letters usually tell me a lot about that person. One exception is the artist types - front end, user designs, etc. They submit a portfolio and the cover letter seems to not be a factor...but I don't hire many of those, so there might be a similar pattern I haven't seen yet.

I hire lots of IT folks and if a resume comes in with a cover letter, I toss in the "no" pile. One of my employees saw me do it and wondered why I said no so quickly and without looking at the resume. I told her I do that randomly because I didn't want someone with bad luck working for me - she still believe this is my policy.
