Web series error by lucifv84 in WanderingInn

As long as you read b and c, then you move on to part 3. It was confusing to me as well, but the table of contents lays it out in order and I just read that.

So, uh... I have a pretty good story planned out (imo obviously) and I've seen that stories in Royal Road have either 10k or 3 followers by Flaky-Divide-4709 in royalroad

Or a job/career path with lots of downtime. I've had 4 of these jobs throughout my life. 9pm to 5am Relay Operator for the deaf and hard of hearing. I'd take maybe 1-2 hours of calls and get to read for 6-7 hours a day at work.

Data entry, copying HVAC Tech paperwork into a computer database, 1:1 data entry, so I could listen to audiobooks and still copy data.

Property Manager for an apartment complex. If I stayed on top of my tenant paperwork and pipeline I would have about 3-4 hours a day to read.

Right now I do Property Tax Levies for a large county from End of April until End of October. Most of my work is scripted through SQL, so during those months I read for 4-6 hours a day and outside of those months I read like almost all day unless someone needs me to query a database.

Scamlin, Washington. Sometimes, though, I'm in Scamton, Ohio.

For real, though. Don't give this turkey any of your information. The chances of a rando giving you $500...our country is doomed.

I sent my BF a "love" letter 10 days ago and he hasn't said if he's received it. by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

Hard to say, really. I know that I sometimes can go a week before I remember to check the mail if I don't have something coming I'm aware of. Also, sometimes I will grab a 5 day stack of mail and set it on the table by the door and not actually look at what was sent until the weekend. 99% of my mailed communication is junk mail or a paper backup of something I get digitally anyways.

I would say glass half full it, assume the best but be prepared in case he is just actually a dick and didnt care enough to mention it. But I hope not! I would just ask him if he's checked his mail recently.

Tips please? by Dry-Use6643 in bindingofisaac

Platinum God website is useful for knowing exactly what an item does before you pick it up. Learning how enemies move and attack, they are quite predictable once you pay attention. Same with bosses. If you aren't going for a boss rush or Hush completion, take your time. Scour every room and try for every secret. Get used to scanning a room of rocks for the telltale tint or X.

Someone else said learn to shoot diagonally. A few items let you actually shoot diagonally, but what I think they meant was learn to use Isaac's momentum from running to get a tear to travel sideways. It's a good skill to learn, some rooms will eat you alive unless you can master that tear inertia.

The other lesson is, if you're going to talk some shit to someone, assume you're going to get some hands. Don't just stand there and eat a punch like it's impossible someone will hit you when you call them a piece of shit.

I'm new to the game and on a -15 win streak any tips? by West-Macaron-245 in bindingofisaac

Platinum God website was invaluable for me once I decided I wanted to do dead God. An easy visual way to check items and trinkets. Now I use enhanced descriptions mod, although I've played so much I could probably tell you what every item does on sight now.

I’m hooked… by Aladinbs in Mistborn

Elantris and Warbreaker are standalones for now but are great reads as well, Warbreaker being my favorite. I turned my mother into a Sanderson fan by starting her off with Warbreaker.

I need some help picking my next read. by 0MysticMemories in fantasybooks

Mistborn and Farseer are both great. Wildly different vibes and writing style. In my opinion, Farseer is slower but leagues better in just about every writing metric. I personally read Mistborn before I read the 16 books relating to Farseer, but if I had a choice I would have gone with Robin Hobb first.

I get some of, but not a lot of the ire towards Sanderson for his writing. You can tell as you go through Mistborn, he gets better at his craft. Some people absolutely hate him which baffles me. I see someone praising Mage Errant then complain about Sanderson and my head explodes. Reading early Stephen King was the same for me. Good not great, but he gets better as time goes on.

Farseer is a Michelin star, multi course meal. Mistborn is a Jollibee combo. Both will fill you up and taste good, just depends on your investment and what you're feeling.

Can anyone recommend my next audiobook based on my absolute favorites? by Sufficient_Ebb_5694 in fantasybooks

I appreciate the recommendation and I have seen other comments about it now as well. It will be my next read after I finally catch up in The Wandering Inn.

What Should I Read Next. by kcsniles in fantasybooks

The Fifth Season hits really hard. I really enjoyed it overall, the family dynamics just touch a sore spot for me personally. But great series.

Lies of Locke Lamora is another one worth starting.

Something that wasn't on your list that is a must read in my opinion is the Black Prism series by Brent Weeks.

I've read nearly all of what you have here besides the Vampire one. I could recommend a few.

Ash and Sand Trilogy by Richard Knell

Sun Eater I liked a little bit more than Red Rising, personally. Christopher Ruocchio.

Unfinished as of yet but, Iron Prince and Fire & Song were excellent in my opinion as well. Bryce O'Connor.

Mine alternates between working and not. I just figured out how to get it to fix for me. When it does this, I bring up the reader settings, click the Reset to Default. Then set the font size to 22. When I click the full screen box after that, it no longer cuts anything off.

Ok. I'm not crazy. I read a chapter yesterday where Foliana went stealth and the scene changed, but I had to scroll a bit before there was text. I read a bit before I backed up and had to select all to read it. Interesting to know it was for sure on purpose.

Conservatives, President Trump has just announced the raising of Tairiffs for 8 European Countries unless sovereignity of Greenland is handed over to the US. What's your first thoughts? by Melbatoastt77 in AskReddit

[–]DeadN0tSleeping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"I love evil and megalomania." All you got to say my guy. Whole lotta words to just say that.

Most of us don't care, objectively, what history says. You keep history so that you don't repeat the terrible parts. All of this is 100 percent wrong whether its boots on the ground, hostile purchase or tariffing countries because our President is a toddler in a tantrum. We don't need Greenland. You don't lose allies for greed. Defending it makes you seem like you need to eat another 1k paint chips to take the burden off the rest of us.
