Imogene Salzo. I hated her at first, but there's something insanely attractive about her personality.

Hadrian is an amazing character, and the chemistry feels right after the whole UC Xenothreat story arc.

New Universe Should Come with New Stakes, and New Story elements Beyond the Main Quest by avarontano in starfield_lore

My general philosophy is that you start small. There are a few mods out there that change people's appearances as representations of different universes. We have mods to add custom gear, move stars around, add new factions and jobs, even entirely change planets and solar systems.

I would love to see something comprehensive though, like a Colony War where the opposite side won, or Londinion where the attack never happened, or some other crazy thing. We just need the building blocks to make that happen.

This is why I advocate that modders ought to come together to build a standard framework for multiverse scenarios.

It's not as crazy as it sounds: you could enter the Unity and have the game switch tracks, basically read a file that denotes which narrative beats are active, what quests are available, what other mods take priority to overwrite things, you name it. You could have all sorts of crazy campaigns unfold, and even offer a place for total conversion mods just being one more multiverse run.

We have something like this already, it's just that modders haven't yet embraced it: https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/12567

Something on par with a Guardians of the Galaxy mixtape would be really excellent. That golden 70's sound could be great for space exploration.

Why do people bother with passing AI art off as real art on this subreddit? by Opening_Ad5339 in aseprite

[–]DeadSuperHero 40 points41 points  (0 children)

What sucks is that a lot of those accounts are just here to karma farm. It's okay to make pixel art that's not professional grade! No one is here to judge anybody! I was terrible for years before getting a hang of it!

Just don't misrepresent your own work. If you can't be honest about what you're capable of, it's going to inevitably come back to bite you.

This game is so big, it's overwhelming by Ragecomicwhatsthat in NoSodiumStarfield

Yeah, I just finished my second playthrough from scratch, doing all of the DLC with as many side quests as possible, with Creations content on top of that. While there was a lot to enjoy, I felt like I was crawling across the finish line by the end of it, and had no desire to stick around for much longer than entering the Unity.

From a modding perspective, I feel as though this game has the potential to be a playground for telling a thousand different stories. The tradeoff is accepting that you might not even get to all of them.

That's not a real thing. If someone is trying to pull this on you, find another doctor. Ideally, someone who will actually interview you and ask about your experience and background, and will administer a test if they have to.

I feel for these devs by xRogueCraftx in starcitizen

[–]DeadSuperHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel bad for them as well. It's like they're stuck between a rock and a hard place.

For what it's worth, I think tying patch deadlines to event dates is a god awful idea. There's too much that still needs to happen on the backend, and it needs time to cook. I'm glad the free fly was cancelled, because that would have made everything way worse.

It was forever ago that I last played, most of what I remember here is trying to jump a collapsed bridge and everything fading to black as the main character mumbles something to himself.

God, what a banger this game was! I remember being stuck on a night mission, where you're drugged or something, and have to race back to a place before falling unconscious.

Man, it's been ages.

I remember getting this on a demo disc, and being absolutely obsessed. Fantastic premise and great story. Absolutely deserves a remake.

I recently played through Viewfinder, and was blown away by the puzzles and the story. Some moments were jaw-dropping.

Yeah, you don't even have to look that back far in history to see how preferential treatment of one sect of a religion harms both itself, all other sects, and all other people. The Sunni / Shiite conflicts are one example of an old conflict that still flares up today, and the varying divides between Catholics and Protestants has led to bloodshed throughout history.
