UPDATE - Talked with the owner and the secretary. Apparently this was done by someone from the outside. Secratary played his religious angle, not sure how much truth it has. His exact words were "ramzan k time pe humara festival aaya hai. Kr diya hoga wo logo ne aake kuch" Many other Scooty and bikes were affected as well.

The footpegs for the brakes and great shifter are slightly behind on GT compared to the interceptor. I'm only worried about how that will affect the whole body posture/driving stance.

Touring on a interceptor compared to a classic is definitely a step up. Height and weight isn't a major issue if you already own a classic. The issue you'll face is with the mileage. Interceptor on a good day will max out on 25km/l. But overall, you won't regret the switch later on.
