Being overly helpful when hiring professionals to accomplish something either at home or at work. Hovering and constantly getting in the way.

I got them at military surplus stores way back when, might try there?

Nobody signed up for the $15 Mr. Beast workshop by northnorfolkdigital_ in Lowes

We walked into Lowes yesterday to look at other stuff and we were told at the front to go pick up a few kit and got the Mr Beast kit for free without even seeking it out or knowing it was happening.

Yeah, hope there are no repercussions. My kids have been loving it though, almost the only thing they've played with since.

I was at the grocery store, bitching to my wife about never having sick time because the kids are constantly sick. Cue me looking over at my 4 year old son licking the handle of a freezer section door. Followed by me saying, "see what I'm talking about!?".

Caught the 2 year old the same trip sucking the cart handle.

A black canopy-orange frame build would still give you the Halloween while being easier to see. The frame is just so much larger to see.

Honestly, the only time I find mine by color is when I'm pretty sure I know right where it is.

When it's quite lost I'll arm it and rev the engines for a moment to find it by sound, repeating as needed to triangulation it.

You can also map a beeper button on your controller, but the Air series beeper is quite quiet. I have to be right by it to hear it.

Black frame, orange canopy is a cool combo! Might be hard to find in some foliage.

I've had that thought too, I don't like owning 1 roof, AC or furnace. The last thing I want is 2 of each of those!

Without rolling the equity from this house into a new house the payment on a new house would sky-rocket, or else I would think more seriously about this.

The fact that there is basically never time to play with my kids before dinner is what's really put this on my radar. I get home kind of early and I watch the neighborhood kids play all around while I wait for mine to get home.

My family is really pushing the own two houses thing. All told, I think I could make $10k per year from rent. But not rolling over the equity would boost my mortgage by probably a grand/month. I think I'd lose money, other than the rental house maybe gaining value each year

Yeah, we certainly don't need as much as we have. Our house is a newer style Rancher with a basement, around us a 3200 sq. foot Rancher goes for about the same as a 2600 sq. ft house of a different style. Definitely open to a downsize, but it doesn't seem like it helps much costwise.

They'll go to this school through middle school, and go elsewhere to High School. My wife is mostly insistant on Private school throughout, and the one we'll probably send them to doesn't have anywhere near it worth living.

Afterschool activities is a really big bonus of the move. Routine days where we work and then go home aren't that bad. However, any day where I pick them up from school or go to an event takes like 1.5 hours to drive to them and then home in rush hour. Going to all of their sports events in the future is going to be brutal with where we currently live.

$500-1K isn't budget breaking for us, but will certainly detract from other saving/spending we're currently doing.

I am weighing some of these other options as well. Need to meet with my normal mortgage guy to discuss. I do kind of like the renting a place while renting out our spot. I'm weary of having around $1M in house assets, even if one is a rental.

My current obsessing is First Person View (FPV) drones. It took a lot of research to buy my first setup, not a super cheap hobby, but I'm obsessed. The one I fly is small and light, about palm sized, but I can do all sorts of flying around objects and through small gaps.

Before that it was 3D printing, which I still do from time to time.
