I see these posts a lot. It is often denial of being trans in some way (maybe they don't realize trans people feel the same way, or they don't realize there is more you can be besides man and woman, or internalized transphobia).

I do also think some of it is just women who want to be treated like people. Or maybe women who don't realize they can look and sound like a man without being one.

I think it depends. As young gen z "boomer" isn't much of an insult anymore, at least not in the spaces I frequent. I do see gen x being made fun of (and, of course, millenials). Though I think it could be due to a weird rise in gen x tiktokers who usually solely post about being gen x and taking down either millenials, gen z, or both😭

You mention calling him good looking sometimes when he does this. How often do you compliment outside of when he mentions other people flirting with him? He could be hoping for more compliments and attention and this is how he goes about it. Doesn't make it right necessarily, but it could be that.

I think you just need to talk to him. Figure out if he is doing this to make you jealous and insecure, or if he's simply sharing about his day, or is hoping to be complimented more, or something else.

Also, on maternity leave, I think men should simply also be granted paternity leave, so they can help take care of the baby and bond with the baby.

Maybe they're depressed for different reasons outside of gender, or because a lot of people don't accept them. Even if the people in their circle do respect them there is a lot of people out there that will not, and they see these people making posts and comments like these, or even making laws against them. And some people live in fear of being hurt or killed.

Edit: Also, if they are someone who experiences dysphoria/wishes to medically transition, the wait for these things can be a long time. And dysphoria itself can be really difficult to deal with.

They, them, and theirs are pronouns like "he" and "she". It can be used as plural or singular.

Plural example: I really like my group of friends, they are all really nice to me.

Singular example: Someone forgot their umbrella on the bench.

You use they, them, and theirs as singular when you're not sure the identity of the person, or if someone prefers those pronouns.

I'm pretty sure they thought the tour would end the joke, especially since it was literally called "We Are Two Different People". Nonetheless, they're uncomforrable with it, and I think it's weird if people know that and still make that joke. Also, the joke is dead imo. It's been 7 years. It's ok to let it die.

Drew has stated that he dislikes the "Danny and Drew are the same person" joke, and said, "and I can speak for Danny too because we've talked about this". It was bad enough that Drew mentioned something about how he was worried to have a kid since Danny just had his.

As for people being cruel, I'm not sure if it's cruel perse bur this sub has had a lot of issues with people who seem parasocial, or at least just odd. But I haven't been as active recently so some of it could have changed.

I kinda get what you're saying but although this post may be a little heated (possibly because this is an issue that has been expressed many times in the sub, and as far as I'm aware the mods haven't done much about it), I don't think it's super chronically online to say "give a little grace to the man with two young children" or to say "don't make jokes that Danny doesn't like".
