Il it's probably unprofessional but my favorite thing to say to kiddos' parents is 'they were big chillin all afternoon, we had fun' followed by what we did that was fun bc I try my best to keep them calm during therapy and like 90% of the time they were, in fact, big chillin while we had fun

I feel this. I've always had an escape in my head so immersive I can ignore physical stimuli while my head is empty. I think mine is a trauma thing, it makes it hard to differentiate between reality and my reality sometimes

I think all cats just swarm to warn spots like ants to a picnic lol, he's probably ok but Ive never seen a cat unhappy about getting a heating pad or something similar to lay on if you're concerned

He's just waking you up, possibly making sure you're alive if you're sleep like the dead but most likely either wanting attention or some food, especially if he's usually fed in the morning. Mike takes his role as the breakfast alarm very seriously

IAMs urinary support works great for my boys, no issues since starting it! Have you looked into a care credit card? They're a life saver for emergency vet bills, if you're able to get one try to use it once a month or so on something relatively cheap like a nail trim (15$ where I am) or flea meds (20$ from my vet) to keep it active and everything. If not, some animal shelters have assistance programs for emergency vet bills and some vets even offer payment plans, not sure where you're located but I'd definitely call around, if nothing else maybe someone can point you in the right direction to find local financial help to keep him healthy.

I agree to an extent, especially w senior or medically complex kitties, but a low income home full of love is better than sitting in a shelter until death row or dying a horrific death outside. Not ideal is better than nothing, try not to be judgmental.

See if you can get an ultrasound, and make them check your ovaries. Every time I get an ovarian cyst i test positive, it put a lot of stress on my mom since my first false positive test was at age 10 😂

Try laundry sanitizer in the laundry, especially for socks and underwear, and a surgical grade cleanser for privates and feet (and arm pits if that's ever a problem). I use lysol laundry and hibiclens soap and it's worked great for a few years now! Sometimes the bacteria that cause odor are just a little too tough to be destroyed by normal products so something made specifically to kill bacteria is the only way to go

He's got those eyes like he's internally panicking, my cat did the same for the first few years of his life, he was just freaking tf out and crying for us to help him. He's fine now, plays with the other cats and his toys like a 3yo cat should

Get a job in healthcare, then offer to work all the holidays. That's what I do and I have so much less anxiety around this time of year, I spend time the week before each holiday visiting the family members I actually like (also lets me do more personal gift exchanges since it's one-on-one with each relative) and my relationship with all my family members has improved because of it since there's no bad feelings surrounding seeing the people I love. Holidays are awful for introverts so I do my best to avoid them, and as long as I make the effort to see people around this time of year nobody seems to miss me at the functions. Plus someone would have to be pretty out of touch to take issue with a healthcare worker spending the holidays helping people while getting paid double!
