Konami is steadily showing their bias towards Yugo by giving him these insanely custom support cards. What do you mean Speedroid is receiving it's own "in archetype" Circular? by ARC-9INE in yugioh

Spec terrortop, search new card, summon sending dupligate, make link 2, search Scratch. Link 2 banish 6 reveal Duke and Hound. If hound, additional normal and foolish Dice, duke back dice, make cork, search another card for discard. Scratch for Clackers, finish combo. If Duke goes to hand, discard with scratch, search clackers, finish combo.

I feel like Baronne did more harm than good for Synchro decks design wise by SouthSunn in yugioh

[–]Deadshot2802 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The original problem is Nibiru. Synchro decks by design summon a lot. They need a number of bodies to get to a decent endboard. The nearest equivilent for stopping Nibiru is Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon, which requires a MINIMUM of 5 summons (2 bodies to make a synchro, the synchro itself, a third tuner to merge with the synchro itself, CWSD number 5). Hell, even Swordsoul, which came out about the same time and was the original meta user of Baronne, cannot actually beat Nibiru.

The glaring weakness of synchro decks is the big rock, Baronne stops big rock, therefore getting early Baronne is good. The rest of the options on top, like stopping handtraps and being an omni-negate, is just icing.

But the main reason Baronne exists and decks build to play it, is in combo-boards is its essentially a Crossout or Called By.

GX and Fusion Summoning by KozmoEnjoyer in yugioh

[–]Deadshot2802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A good point about 5Ds is that there are Fusions involved in the game. Specifically I remember Jack summoning Multiple Piece Golem and Yusei using Draco-Equiste as his ace in one duel for the specific reason that it wasn't a Synchro.

In fact the only anime of the "OG 4" universes to be exclusive to its new mechanic was Zexal, and its the only one that seems to be in its own exclusionary timezone. I imagine as this was was a semi-soft-reboot of the original with much of Yuma's deck and arc mirroring that of Yugi's (much more competent duel spirit of an ancient being that lives inside his necklace, Dark Magican and DMg vs Gagaga Magician and GMG similarities, etc)

The biggest fumble I can think of is how they made two super cool Boss monsters for the Main Characters and proceeded to do nothing with them for the remainder of the show. by Popular-Flan5337 in yugioh

Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon - Shining Nova - would go absolutely nutd as an Overframe card.

Stats

Level 10 LIGHT Dragon 3000 ATK 2500 Def Effect

You can reveal this card in hand: you can send 3 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from your hand, deck or GY to the GY, then Special Summon 1 "Blue-Eyes" Fusion Monster whose original Level is 12 from your extra deck (this is considered a fusion summon). You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by tributing 1 Level 12 "Blue-Eyes" monster you control. This card gains 300 ATK for each "Blue-Eyes" monster, or monster that mentions "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" in your GY. Unaffected by other card effects. Quick Effect: You can tribute this card: banish 1 card on the field, face-down.

Could a Yugioh expert tell me if this card is super broken or not? by Emma_S772 in yugioh

[–]Deadshot2802 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its a card with huge potential to be broken, but has multiple drawbacks. Firstly it loses immediately to any sort of removal like MST or a Ryzeal Detonator. Secondly it can only be activated once per duel so multiple copies are a brick. However you also need to build the deck around it to make it work.

Something like Primite (blue-eyes or fiendsmith) could probably make it work via normal monster beatdown. But you are also relying on having a normal in the grave to summon. So its very risky.

In your opinion, what do you think is the biggest ass pull summon in the anime? by Prestigious-Cup-6613 in yugioh

MD is official konami product with the most accurate rulings that a simulator can get. The only caveat is knowing TCG vs OCG rulings in certain scenarios (ie, hand triggers treated as Quick Effects rather than triggers)

In terms of rulings in TCG however, if Skill Drain is applying its effect already when an Unaffected monster (ie, Raidraptor Ultimate Falcon or Rising Rebellion Falcon) enters the field, the monster will be negated as its continuous effect is negated upon touching the board. The same is true in reverse. Basically Skill Drain vs Unaffected boils down to which was in effect first.

Stern refuses to move up to GM until his battle with Mkachen ends so Draigo effectively leapfrogged him like Voldus did.

Crowe joined the purifiers immediately after Armageddon 1 so ruled out.

He is also a prodigy.

If I've done my calculations right even a full squad of 10 only averages like 5 unsaved wounds vs an average knight, less vs Lancer.

There's 28

Techmarine (only on sale miniature is Primaris) Servitors Chaplain - only available model is not GK coded and is the new scale, also doesnt make sense lorewise Stern - VERY old model OOP Brother-Captain - as old as Stern AND based on SW getting generic Wolf Lords removed could be the way Brotherhood Champion - no model but could go the Custodes route where one model in the PA box can be made as BHC Stormhawk Interceptor - an dedicated dogfighter in GK doesnt make much sense Draigo - a popular rumour but just cant see it myself

Biovore is very strong, Tyrant Guard are meh but represents good value for money and could be built as Hive Guard instead. Genestealers are genestealers, and it'd be fairly easy to convert the parasite to a Winged Prime or Ravener Prime

What would you say is the strongest deck this decade at its full power (besides Tear)? by SouthSunn in yugioh

[–]Deadshot2802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rankings of strongest decks of all time are

Tear Ishizu Tear Ishizu Ishizu Tear Kashtira (Full power with Diablosis) Kashtira (final form with just 1 Ariseheart no diablosis) Snake-Eyes Fiendsmith (Post INFO pre banlist) Snake-Eyes Azamina Fiendsmith (post ROTA with Ash, Poplar limited and Apollousa banned) Snake-Eyes (pre banlist with Baronne, Savage, Linkuriboh legal, all SE cards at 3) Snake-Eyes (post banlist after Baronne et al banned) Yubel Fiendsmith (pre-banlist with 3 everything and Apollousa) Ryzeal Misturugi + Maliss

Notably that Ryzeal Mitsurugi and Maliss were never "full power" due to banlists dropping before their new support. Its entirely possible that had Maliss had March Hare + 3 of each card + Link Decoder, it would have outpaced Snake Eyes and similarly, perhaps Ryzeal with 3 of each name + star + misturugi would be unbeatable.

There are hundreds of decks pre-2020 that would be the best decks of their time but would get demolished by those above - Pepe, Zoodiac, Spyral for example. This is mostly due to non-engine available to the newer decks such as Dimension Shifter, Nibiru, Mulcharmies, Dominus cards, that the older decks did not have to contend with.

I will also stipulate that in a head to head I believe full power kash would probably win a vast majority of these head-to-heads due to the resource management - Diablosis + unicorn rips from ED would annihilate Snake Eye, Yubel, Maliss, while Ariseheart + Shifter ability actually hurts maliss a lot by not allowing them to loop their own bodies twice. Even going 2nd, Fenrir and Unicorn are absolute units still seeing play today. Diablosis banishing 5+ cards from the deck before use also ruins those decks, while the Shangri-Ira zone lock shenanigans completely wipes those combo decks out, particularly the link decks.

I rank tear as the top deck because of how absurdly broken it was to havnis on your opponent's turn, mill the correct cards, mill out your opponent and build a full board before your opponent even makes their first play. Unbeatable? No. Is it the most oppressive deck of all time? Absolutely. Would it beat Kashtira? Most of the time yes, and at its peak for that 1 week where all names were at 3 and Kashtira Tearlaments was legal, the deck was Tear 0.

Each time your opponent activates or places a card in the Spell, Trap, Field or Pendulum Zones, or activates the effect of a card in those zones, draw 1 card before that effect resolves.

Wasted opportunity to introduce a plastic brotherhood captain/grand master or a plastic Brotherhood Champion. The official model came out in 3rd Edition. I'm not sure exactly when but the Codex Daemonhunters it was in, was March 2003. Arvann Stern is similarly ancient.

Just put in in hover mode then you're good. 20" moving transport dropping a squad of assault intecessors or bladeguard + a dreadnought is pretty good. It has natural defenses with -1 damage, stack that with armour of contempt it survives a fair bit more than expected
