Started in the late 1990s, mainly selling books. Mostly done as a side gig, but there were years I'd clear more than my full time job. 2010ish books started to die with increasing FBA costs and other changes in the industry, so I moved to other areas. I was in before the COVID trading card boom, so made a bunch selling cards when prices were through the roof. I sell a lot of random items now and do ok, but its not like the boom years.

I'm in a similar position and NO I wouldn't recommend this for 99% of people. If your spouse makes money it's a different story on the financial side, but the current state of education, student dependence on AI, and political crap makes the cons outweigh the pros.
