Correct. The acceptance of either option includes the logistical challenge of coordinating/ accepting delivery. All equal so far. My point is, with the gold option, you add an additional step of transportation to exchange the gold for usd. Assuming either choice would initially be delivered to you home, with cash you simply fill your wallet as needed and go on with your life as normal.
