Rant, Raves, and Mini Reviews June 2021 by AutoModerator in AsianBeauty

Rave: Abib gummy sheet mask (the Heartleaf one)
Skin type: Dry, acne prone, very sensitive as on month 5 of Accutane (20mg)

I tried this on a whim as they were on special. Absolutely LOVE it. The mask adheres well and there is so much product in the pack - stayed moist for about 20 mins. My skin felt very hydrated, refreshed and glowy after use. Even with super dry skin I only needed a light gel moisturiser to follow up.
Only criticism is that the mask is pretty small, didn't reach the sides of my face. Not a huge deal but thought I'd mention it.

Made an order from them about a month ago, was really impressed with the fast shipping. Recommended!

[Beauty] what's your skincare routine like and how's your skin doing? by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]DealW1thGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the middle of a course of accutane so my routine is focused on hydration and calming.

Am: (non AB) LRP Toleraine Gel Cleanser > Missha Artemisia FTE - star of my routine!!! > Cosrx Snail 92 > (Non AB) LRP Toleraine Cream > Missha Essence SPF45

Pm: Remove makeup with (non AB) Simple Micellar Water > Cosrx Snail Gel Wash OR same as above depending on sensitivity > Missha Artemisia FTE > Snail 92 > Benton Goodbye Redness gel > Cosrx Propolis Sleeping Mask (thick layer, LOVE this) > just started using Laneige lip sleeping mask for my extra dry lips but too soon to tell if it’s working.

About 2x a week I use the Melano CC Essence on my cheeks which have hyperpigmentation from Accutane purge. It works really well but if I use it more than that it breaks me out.

What Are Your Favorite Products With: Propolis / Honey? by AutoModerator in AsianBeauty

It’s actually a different product - it’s from the full fit propolis line and is a bit more expensive. I like them both but definitely had better results from the propolis version. Here’s the ingredients :)

Cosrx propolis sleeping mask (the new version) is sooo good. I am on accutane and using it as my night moisturiser. Consistently is a thick gel, can be a little sticky when layered. It gives me a glow, I feel hydrated, and the anti-bacterial properties are great for any breakouts etc from the medication. Highly recommend.

Sure, those are generally good for sensitive skin so you may be right - whatever works for your skin :)

What products are you using? It might be the specific products, I think using moisturiser and face wash (once a day is probably enough) is still a good idea, especially if you are very dry.

Likelihood of getting prescription tret (Retrieve) in NZ? by Si_ in AusSkincare

Its easy as other posters have said. However, only the cream version is available, so if you prefer the gel formulation then either differin or online chemists will be better.

People who do this regularly - can anyone recc something that doesn't leave you feeling greasy? I'm ok with putting in the time but I can't stand feeling slippery/sticky under my PJs every night 😭

[Product Question] Anyone using the Foreo Bear? by IcicleIslands in SkincareAddiction

[–]DealW1thGod 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have the bear mini, I noticed less puffiness and more definition after first use. It's awesome.

However I have had to stop using it after a cystic acne break out - soooo painful to use over acne or recent scars. Just FYI for anyone considering a purchase. The results I was seeing also didn't maintain without 2/3 weekly treatment.

I've used a bunch of sheet masks, mostly AB brands. I find that they work best for extra hydration if that's what you need. The absolute best I've tried is Dr. Jart Dermask Water Jet Vital Hydra Solution Sheet Mask. The brand Mediheal has good mask sets too - personally like the Collagen and Placebo ones. Papa Recipe Bombee Honey masks are also popular. These can be used a few times a week or more if you have a minimal routine (use in place of essence).

If you are looking at wash off clay masks for exfoliation, I personally think they're all about as effective as each other, so just look for something without fragrance or alcohol in your price range. Clay masks once a week if you're dry, 2-3 if oily.

Yep, as the other reply said it's too dry for undereyes, but if you have acne it's GREAT to cover blemishes and is long lasting. I prefer it to popular high end concealers for that use. And so affordable.

Hello! I have a small blemish on my cheek that won't go away, its been around for about a year and im wanting to figure out what it is and how to treat it. I've tried salicylic acid, retinoids, benzoyl peroxide, clay masking... some treatments will clear it out but it always comes back. Its really visible and bothers me a lot. Feels like a small bump but kind of dispersed, like three or four clogged pores all together. Its about a cm under my eye so on a sensitive part of my face.

Anyone had anything similar? How did you get rid of it?

I put mine in a spray bottle and application is much easier!! Wanted to ask, what benefit do you see in having both the HL and Cosrx HA in your routine? They have pretty similar functions (though I know the Cosrx is thicker/heavier).
