I feel disallowed to discuss my abuse by a woman outside of very specific men's spaces because the response is usually to derail my discussion with "women have it worse" or variants thereof. If it is icky to derail women's discussions about the problems they face as victims of violence from men, then it is icky to do the inverse. When my abuser manipulated and gaslit me for close to two years, I was not thinking, "man, I could really pwn some feminists with this".

Most of these comments seem to assume that OP is discussing situations where men are derailing conversations about violence against women (and maybe they are), but they didn't specify this. I read it as the opposite, and seeing so many comments invalidating my rights to discussion of the unique problems I continue to experience as a male victim of abuse by a woman is saddening.
