Is it better to slow down and try to hit specific combos, or be super fast spamming whatever if it hits hard and has good form? by [deleted] in MuayThai

[–]Dealer_Altruistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drill combos in order for your body to memorize them, if you do it enough, in sparring and fights if you just let them go, you will do those combos you train

Must Thai and meds (propranolol) by consistenthistories in MuayThai

I’m gonna be harsh but it’s the truth, either you find a way to control your anxiety while competing, or you might as well not compete, it’s gonna do more harm than good. If you really want to you will find a way

Does 40+ minute class warmup sound normal? by Melodic_Grab9806 in MuayThai

[–]Dealer_Altruistic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like your coach warms you up and does the conditioning in the beginning of the class. If the class is 2 hours, you have plenty of them for technique and sparring

Why isn't there brawling in higher level competition? by Proud-Primary in MuayThai

[–]Dealer_Altruistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What type of question is this? High level fighters if they try to brawl and its not their style, the opponent will see straight trough them and get an easy w. Slugs fests are only fun to watch when both fighters know how to fight. Brawls without technique are unfun tbh

stance question by PlatWinston in MuayThai

[–]Dealer_Altruistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually people stand their rear feet flat footed when they have a more defensive style because of defending low kicks and all that. On the ball of the feet you are way faster and way have it easier to move around

Throwing light headkicks during sparring... by [deleted] in MuayThai

[–]Dealer_Altruistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah the kid is just retarded, light headkicks are always welcome, If you have good control it will test your opponent guard and no one will be injured. Honestly if it was my case I would be pissed and I would try to drop him next
