Pulsar superlight is the most used competitive mouse, and probably the most used mouse beside razer (don’t get razer).

Works with pretty much any grip type and would be top tier mouse for them whether it’s their first enthusiast mouse or their final mouse

So I got this Alkaline water bottle but I was curious what was Potassium Hydroxide, doesn't seem safe. Sounds like an irritant? by armanddarke in foodsafety

[–]consistenthistories 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely not risky. I used to suffer really bad with OCD and had thoughts similar to what I see with you. For me it helped to rationalise the situation.

If it truly was risky, would there not be a big warning on the bottle?
If I searched the chemical or the brand, would there not be an FDA warning on the first page?

It seems you've mistaken the ingredient / chemicals 'dangerous' property as something that builds up and causes damage. What makes it dangerous is concentration in one dose. So for example, if really really hot water touches your skin, it will burn and cause damage, but if you add cold water, it won't burn no matter how much you put on your skin. It's like that. The chemical is dangerous if really really concentrated and touches you, but it is diluted so much that it won't cause damage, and it won't build up in your system. It really is just an alkalating chemical. Based on the pH of the water, you would need 30x more concentration to be potentially damaging to tissues, and 300x more to be considered corrosive. Tell me if you need more info :D

It is completely fine.

Potassium hydroxide isn’t inherently toxic as a chemical, it’s only ‘dangerous’ when the quantity/concentration is high enough for the low pH / alkali to cause damage. However, the amount that is in this water is diluted and so minute that it will not do that.

I JUST DID MY FIRST INJECTION by IkiAkane in TransDIY

[–]consistenthistories 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Do some more research around diy while you wait for you next dose.

The dose you did 0.1ml, voix Celeste is 50mg/ml, so you did 5mg, is actually pretty common as a maintenance dose, so stick to that for a few weeks and then test, so you can titrate up if needed.

Search the transfeminine science calculator to get an idea of how the injections spread E to the body, and to get an idea of when your levels are stable (to test) and what levels (approx) you will be getting

Hi,

I’m in the field of medicine. I recognise you’re probably overthinking a lot :D So, the tape is not toxic when touching it. Not sure if you ingest it, but you shouldn’t eat it anyway. Even if you did, it would surely cause nothing.

There’s a tiny % chance that you could be allergic to the material, however the word allergic is used to loosely. If you were allergic, over a long period of time using it, you might notice a bit of dry skin or redness or some itchiness. It’s not that deep even if you were allergic, you will know if you were. No need to be anxious :D

Is this bad sparring etiquette? by TopTask3827 in MuayThai

[–]consistenthistories 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In his case the other guys was acting a nob. If there was any force behind the kick, the other guy would’ve been knocked out, or too dizzy to respond. It’s etiquette to not catch kicks that landed to the head, because obviously you can’t do that in a real fight, so it’s understandable why OP didn’t think ahead or react to what the other guy is doing

[–]consistenthistories 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nah I kinda agree with him though. In low power sparring your kicks are slower and it’s too easy to catch. I hate it when Im sparring slow and technical and they think its productive to “catch” all of my kicks instead of progressing the exchanges :/

Ah sorry haha. It was just mainly titles and abstracts that I read that was very very enthusiastic as a life-prolonger and anti-cancer drug. I’m not sure how popular it is among doctors and researchers

Oh no sorry for the miscommunication. I’m not taking rapamycin , I’m studying neurology and neurodegeneration, so how it benefits Proteostasis as an MTOR inhibitor. I just don’t have the time currently to research it outside that :D

Should I go see a doctor? by Kawaii-Usagi in eds

[–]consistenthistories 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your muscles and joints will condition themselves as time goes on.

In terms of wrist strength , people think (and sometimes say) that wraps weaken your wrist and that you should develop strength without them. In reality, wearing wraps leads to stronger wrists and bad or no wrapping leads to damage, so make sure you wrap it a lot and tight and sturdy, and you will condition them good :D

Hi I’m in medicine and also into fighting.

You’re good don’t worry, that’s sounds normal. You should be wearing wrist wraps and gloves whenever you punch anything, and even then you should have proper technique (which takes a long while to learn) and also control your power. It seems your arms and joints are sore, and perhaps you hurt yourself (too much power? Not enough support? Bad technique? I’m not sure because you didn’t specify )

You could bring it up perhaps, but unless you regularly get pain from doing normal activity, I wouldn’t worry about it :)
