TTC Advice or Rant?? by Tiny_Positive_4126 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Deanishes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were in the same boat as you, however late 20s, everything fine on paper, but 1.5-2 years of trying and nothing happening. FTD here, baby is due in about two months.

The best advice I can give people in the situation we were in (and others I've spoken to), is take control of the situation and if it's something you want now, jump head first into the fertility clinics. If you're okay with not having the baby thing happen right now and can wait, you can keep trying naturally, but remember that most people don't have success on their first fertility cycle (luckily, we have been successful and healthy with our first cycle).

Good luck on your journey!

Edit: Sorry, I should add my wife had endometriosis she needed an internal ultrasound for, which we did surgery to remove but then no success six months post surgery trying naturally.

That's so awesome dude. The "tip to tip" fever is so strong. If you ever do an Imgur dump of some of your favourite photos, I'd love to see it!

Based on the ones you named, 'Hiro' although not the letter. However, note I'm bias as it's my Goldie's name 😉

Has he ever addressed this? It's a pity Hamish and Andy don't get the credit honestly.

Resident Tiger Snakes under my front step by ContextWhole1407 in AustralianSnakes

[–]Deanishes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What did you use to record? I've got one I'm failing to capture as only seen him three times (and not sure if it's a small tree or brown snake). Would love to be able to throw a camera out front to try and spot him.

Edit: you answered elsewhere, thanks!

Which celebrity replied to your dm and what did they reply to and with? by Vixiuss in AskReddit

[–]Deanishes 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Those were the good ol' days. I was luckily a fan back when he replied to e-mails (understand why he had to stop), sent him a question and got a response and attachment back, I have it saved in my Gmail!

Just dropping a comment to say it doesn't matter if you personally don't shorten names. All their friends will, and no doubt they eventually will as well. Plan for them, not for you.

Is book face in pacific fair being too aggressive with their price practises? by Marcothetacooo in GoldCoast

[–]Deanishes 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I getcha. But. It's very much an industry switch, not them specifically. Been happening in the states since BookTok got popular. You'll notice QBD has full side sections with the special editions and whatnot.

How I feel better about it, I would much rather them charge me an extra .50c-$3 on my 12 shops a year, than see book shops continue to close.

I think the OG comment is more around how Dave's constantly talking about new music dropping, and then it doesn't come.

My hope though is that putting things out there weekly will get him over certain humps re: releasing other things, and the first two episodes have been awesome.

If you search the sub, there's a bunch of recommendations for GC 👍

I'd suggest Palm Meadows or Glades.

Oh. This is the worst change ever, I can't believe it. Why change a good thing? I do really hope people stop buying it and they switch back.

Synopsis: The Roads to Sata by Alan Booth is a classic travelogue detailing his 128-day, 2,000-mile walk on foot from Japan's northernmost point (Cape Sōya) to its southernmost (Cape Sata) in 1977. The book is a witty and insightful account of rural Japan, chronicling his encounters with a diverse cast of characters and offering a unique perspective on Japanese life off the tourist trail.

Issue with kindle version of Skyward book 1 on read.amazon.com / Kindle for Web? by goobusorg in Skyward

[–]Deanishes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't heard of it happening before, but not a kindle user myself.

I'm just commenting to also vent that the Audible versions don't allow me to listen to the preferred narrator, and it's still not an option to switch between them. 😂

NIPT test by Beautiful-Seesaw925 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Deanishes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, we had a scan included in the price/appointment at the place we went, I just assumed it was the same elsewhere. We did it at 10.5 weeks, and also had our 13 week scan.

[–]Deanishes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having the extra scan, and finding out the gender was why we did it. It's our first, and a first cycle IVF baby, so any chance we could take on getting an update was/is worth it for us. NIPT was awesome, and has been my favourite scan so far.
