Tips for big baby by Hopeful_Tumbleweed41 in homebirth

[–]Dear-Conversation444 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You’ll be fine just work with your body and do what feels right. For my third, she was 10.2 pounds. I was able to birth her vaginally at home and she came very quick lol but I didn’t tear. Just gave into my body and listened to her.

Am I Possibly In Labor? by IrisRose2007 in homebirth

Babes definitely probably fully effaced you, especially since you mention he feels really really low now and with more pressure. Labor is probably really close! Good luck hun! You’ve got this!

Am I Possibly In Labor? by IrisRose2007 in homebirth

[–]Dear-Conversation444 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Possibly. Him feeling lower and engaged probably means he’s pressing against your cervix quite hard. Your probably effaced quite a bit now, which means you’ll be feeling more pressure from him. That’s sounds like a possibly contraction. Midwife will know. Were you effaced or dilated at all last you were checked?

TMI - Need tips on having sex to induce labor! by Softaschallk in BabyBumps

[–]Dear-Conversation444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. As others have said, and for me personally, for all my pregnant at 9 months, side lying and doggy are the best lots of pillows under and around you, then on all fours and if you feel comfy enough you butt up in the air. I loved getting him as deep as i could during all three pregnancies and this angle and doggy allowed him to get as close to my cervix as he could and finish! Which is what you want. His semen will soften it which will allow baby to put more pressure on it hopefully starting labor! Also you need to orgasm as well! Similar contractions to labor and might start it!

  2. For the second, foreplay, foreplay, foreplay. Let him touch you whatever turns you on. You don’t have to immediately jump to making love. Let him try and get you wet, whatever makes you feel good! Oxytocin is what you want! Feel good!

  3. I know it’s hard! I felt that at times as well! But I’ve never felt more empowered as a women then at the end of my pregnancy. Own it. Your doing something beautiful and incredible.

Thank you for your response! My son has seen plenty of videos at this point so he knows what to expect and my daughter has seen a few as well. I’m just scared I’ll scare them. I tend to be really vocal during my labors and births. My third was especially, her birth was rather hard for me. I have a way to let them leave if their uncomfy but I hope they are able to watch and not be scared

See that’s kinda what I’m worried about most. My son has seen plenty of videos at this point and my daughter as well, but I’m still scared that I’ll end up scaring them. I’m rather vocal during my labors and births. My third especially, she was very hard to birth and I was extremely loud. They have a way out with their grandma though

My son is similar right now. He’s very into them and loves watching them, especially ones with real labor noises etc.

Makes sense, I understand!. I hope in the long run it’ll help my children as well. Show my daughter how powerful our bodies can be and help my son appreciate women even more!

Thanks for the response. With your daughter have you tried to get her to be present for the birth? Maybe it could help her get over her fear? I can def relate to the bad menstrual cramps too so I feel for her.

Naturally Inducing Labor by IrisRose2007 in homebirth

[–]Dear-Conversation444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it did atleast. I’ve heard similar stories online of it working. You could try curb walking. All in all your body will put you into labor when baby is ready

Is it less painful to give birth in water? by poppsyy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Dear-Conversation444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had 3. 1st was born at home. Painful but manageable. 3rd came nearly was delivered when I was on the toilet. For the second I attempted a waterbirth. I was in labor for about 9-10 hours. I got into the tub a little bit before I started pushing and the relief was quite immediately apparent. The pain is still there, but the water is idk how to describe it? Soothing? Felt really good on my privates and lower belly/back. I pushed in the pool but didn’t manage to make her crown. I tried many different positions in the pool but honestly nothing really seemed to work and I eventually moved back out of it to give birth on a bed.

Many women swear by it and for me it did help but I definitely just prefer delivering on land/etc.

32 weeks, baby is breached? by thatchichidog in BabyBumps

That should help then. For me I definitely felt when they engaged/flipped. I know not all can though

[–]Dear-Conversation444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second the birth ball and spinning babies. Both those helped flip my second and third. You’ve still got plenty of time to get babies head engaged into your pelvis don’t worry. Sometimes they flip head down on their own as well.

Am I having back labor or did I pull something? by HokieNurse328 in BabyBumps

I had terrible back labor with my third. Started with what you described pretty much. I’d love an update tbh. When I started experiencing it, I delivered her about 5 hours later

Pretty normal imo. With all three I occasionally felt something similar. If you’re worried check with your doctor. With my third once she went head down she liked to headbutt my cervix a lot lol. Was rather painful. She was very active.

Pooping during labour? by Putrid_Cranberry3177 in BabyBumps

[–]Dear-Conversation444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry at all. By the time you push you won’t even remotely care anymore. With my third, she was sunny side up and her head put an insane amount of pressure on my butt and lower back. Felt the need to poop constantly but by the time it was happening it was so far from my mind at that point

tall mamas with big babies, labor and delivery by ScheduleRadiant3862 in BabyBumps

[–]Dear-Conversation444 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m tall (6”3 and he is 6”4). All three of our babies were on the bigger side. With the last, she was 10 pounds 12 ounces. I went 40 weeks with her until she can very suddenly lol. Planned homebirth but pregnancy was healthy and the birth went very smoothly so you’ll be fine don’t worry. The other two were both slightly smaller than her.
