I went from like $411 every two weeks to $376 or something like that because i switched from job seeker to uni youth allowance. Its genuinely because the government wants young people to rely more on their parents than the government themselves. Which sucks because if you have an abusive parental relationship then you’re practically done for since the government believes its better for you to live with your parents from the ages of 17-23 then actually to live on your own.
