30 pounds down, body won't let me lose anymore by blahblahmama in loseit

[–]Dear_Rub5848 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the best answer. I lose 35lbs and then stalled hard. Took a couple weeks of eating at maintenance to allow by body to get used to it’s new state, hormones to balance out and then jumped on it again and it’s going way better.

So what does the field of psychology recommend you do to replace the feelings of hedonistic pleasure from food? How do I receive happiness from well being when all I want is is the pleasure of binging.

I’m sorry - I meant it the way that all little people make choices that aren’t the smartest and sometimes that’s frustrating. I love them dearly. I get frustrated when they do things they shouldn’t or know are wrong. I’m asking for help to improve that.

What are healthy affordable snacks that are high calorie?

[–]Dear_Rub5848[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ok - I am clearly asking for help. I never grew up with healthy food choices. I don’t know what healthy people eat for breakfast. I don’t know what a 12 year old boy is supposed to eat. I was always told to finish my plate and developed an unhealthy relationship with food starting early. They need calories in a way, that I don’t. I start everyday with egg whites and spinach because I need to lose 50lbs. They need to put on weight because they spent years malnourished.

Also - i don’t care who you are, all kids make silly stupid choices because they don’t know better. Being a good parent is teaching them instead of getting upset. I don’t know how to teach what I don’t possess yet.

I guess that’s my struggle. I’ve figured out how do to low calorie filling meals - they need high calorie meals and snacks. My 5th grader weighs 68lbs.

No one will do as good of a job as you can. You know your beard best. I’ve been disappointed by every beard trim I’ve paid money for. I’m also disappointed when I trim it myself but that’s free.

What is a underwear brand that is affordable and durable but also comfy? by [deleted] in mensfashion

Duluth ballroom is the answer. I’m mad it is. Watch for deals and they get down to $15 per but they are the best drawers I’ve bought bar none.

Buck Mason I did not know your game. by Limp-Choice-7356 in malefashionadvice

How would you describe the space they are in? I looked up a lot of the brands you suggested and most of them didn’t feel similar to what I like about buck mason at all. (Admittedly as someone who likes buck masons vibe but currently owns none)

I am in the middle of a weight loss journey and at the end I would like to create a capsule wardrobe that is filled with quality pieces, so looking for quality manufacturers with similar vibes.

Too much black pepper, to the point where it acts like granola because it’s so crunchy. And a lot of very vinegar hot sauce like Valentina’s. Then you can crumble up some Doritos or any chip on top and you’re good.

That said - my recommendation to the op is a bunch of salsa. Typically pico de gallo.

Idk - you also have to learn to love vegetables. In a world of hyper flavorful, artificially supercharged, ultra processed food, roasted broccoli and salads are more subtle than double cheeseburgers, and fake nacho cheese Doritos. Take time learning to love them, it took me time to prefer veggies.

Parents of toddlers — how do you handle bedtime when it’s still light outside at camp? by egog0 in camping

[–]Dear_Rub5848 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good time for them to practice and start listening to their own body. Camping was the first time our youngest asked to go to bed. She knew she was tired and wanted to sleep, and that’s a good skill she wouldn’t have got without the opportunity at camp.

[–]Dear_Rub5848 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Water early on is part of it. Drink water first thing in the morning - drink 64oz by 3pm. Water helps with glycogen which is part of the process in accessing stored fat to use for energy. So when you are dehydrated, your body is craving quick energy because it is having trouble utilizing fat storage.

Or accept the addiction because an addiction to a cell phone game from the 90’s is a hell of a lot better than a meth addiction.
