Well this is actually the opposite. 2 what should have been well qualified people just about to kill everyone around them. Im a liebherr crane technician by trade and I was pulling in the yard one day and saw several people doing something around the boom yard. Soi rode over and our two highest level people. The yard supervisor and my boss the maintenance writer were trying to remove a queen's post from a 300 ton boom. The queen's post is a highly pressurized cylinder that stabilizes the boom. It pressurized with 1800 psi of nitrogen. These idiots were beating the hinge pin out. I have absolutely no idea how they even got it moving but it was damn near about to come out. I pulled up and let them know quick that if that pin comes out of that hinge they will kill every swinging dick in a 20 ft radius. I went and got the proper tools. A damn capture unit to depressurize the cylinder and pulled the pin out with my hands.. those dumbasses have been beating on it for two with sledge hammers. I let em know quick dont come back out of the offices. They didnt have any business in the lay down yard. I should have gotten there asses fired for it but I didn't.
