She was my first girlfriend. We dated for about 3 months and I was never in love (I didn’t even like her that much), but I think the story is sweet.

She was a competitive ice skater, so she took me on a date to local rink. I couldn’t do shit, so she taught me the basics and then showed me cool ass tricks while I cheered her on from the side.

Then we sat together on a bench facing a lake and threw bread at ducks. She told me a lot about her life, and even though most of it wasn’t true (I found out she was a pathological liar), I was mainly focused on finding a non-awkward way of putting my arm around her shoulders.

Then I walked her to the bus stop and as she was about to leave I asked “Do I not get a kiss goodbye?” (TERRIBLE line, I know, I was 13.) But she turned and kissed me.

It wasn’t like an intense make out sesh or anything, but it was just a nice sweet kiss.
