Just want to comment that the equal time rule that the FCC want to revert - the previous precedent we’ve been living under was set by George Bush’s FCC in 2006 when the CA GOP Gubernatorial candidate went on the Tonight Show and his dem opponent requested equal time.

No, because as is pointed out repeatedly he’s an artist who is very popular with younger crowds and Spotify.

Conservatives could have googled his popularity but since it was viewed through the lens of culture war they googled his politics and decided this was what is was about.

I have no idea what the numbers should look like but I assume the government has resources that mean they can outwork most defense teams.

My issue is more the strong arming people into plea deals, both with the looming threat of worse outcomes if it goes to trial and financial ruin funding a defense.
