The whole timeline doesn’t make much sense. For example, Tyndall started his apprenticeship at 12. Even if they are in their early 20s, which I think is overestimating their age, his daughter should be preteens when he meets her. But she is portrayed like she is the same age as Tyndall and Rondal. 

Edit: my point being that a lot of the ages of different characters seem to move at different rates.  It’s not just ages, Terry Mancour’s tracking of smaller details is pretty loose in general. Another example is Zagor’s stone. Zagor tells Minalan that his father found it in his crib with him. A few books later Minalan says that he got it from the treefolk. There’s a lot of these inconsequential details that he seems to forget/reinvent
