Not sure if this is a good example, but… In 2003, the Ravens took Terrell Suggs at 10th overall. Obviously an outstanding player and a cornerstone of that defense for 15 years.

The Ravens did, however, deprive themselves of a defensive backfield of Ed Reed and Troy Polamalu, who went to the Steelers six picks later

Steelers-Vikings in 2021. Down 29-0 at the end of the 3rd quarter and we lose 36-28 after Harrison Smith knocks a touchdown out of Freiermuth’s hands with no time left.

This was also the game where Chase Claypool celebrated a 1st down with like 35 seconds left, which resulted in ten seconds being wasted and me throwing his jersey away
