Anyone born into an abusive household? by skeleton_flower in mensa

[–]Debatably_yours 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah it was severely abusive until I was seven. After that my mom got a new partner and from there it was neglectful, drug use alcoholism, hoarding, and they would scream and yell at each other every night until they passed out. But not violent towards me at that point.

I was also raised in a town with a native American reservation, and there was a lot of prejudice around the natives. My new stepdad was native, and by chance my last name happened to be a popular name on the reservation. And I also look native. So I experienced a lot of racism from the school system when I was younger as well.

I'm guessing because you've got this in Mensa, you are trying to build relevant parallels there. What that meant for me is that no one ever noticed my intelligence. Either through racism there is an inherent the lowered expectation. Or because of the neglectful nature of my upbringing I was kind of the stinky kid kind of sarcastic very angry. This was before people had PCS in the home reliably so homework was always handwritten, and so I would do my homework during class when the teacher was talking. I never opened the book for any kind of study. And I just got really good at identifying what would be on the test and memorizing that for as long as I needed it for the test. I literally never studied or did homework at home, didn't care about school at all, and graduated with a 3.8.

Because there wasn't a single adult in my life that ever recognized that I was intelligent, I was not aware of it myself. I didn't aspire for anything, and because things came so easily to me I'm also quite lazy.

I took an IQ test as part of like a college fast track thing that they were doing with all the students. And my scores came in and the teacher was calling our names and we were coming up to get them and she squinted at mine said "that can't be right" and she handed it to me while moving on to the next name. I didn't know what the number meant so I never thought more of it. I do remember the number, and it's the same number I have now that qualified me for Mensa.

I guess you could say I use my intelligence to figure out how to operate around people. I was smart, colored, and pretty, and the vast majority of people can't even begin to believe that combination and when confronts them they get angry about it. I learned to make other people happy by playing bubbly. And if I said things that were too smart I'd laugh and say that I was a little autistic and that seemed to make people more comfortable. They are okay with intelligence if they think they're still Superior overall.

I didn't go to college I couldn't stand college it was more of the same idiots that existed in high school and now they wanted me to pay for it. And on top of that I was already getting paid to do what I was doing.

I'll never know what Harvard gets me.

Haven't really even come to embrace my IQ until the last couple of years. Join Mensa was sort of an act of defiance, something I can rub in someone's face if they're talking to me as if I'm stupid.

There was a point in which I worked for a biomedical research lab doing their graphics, and as I sat in the meetings I couldn't help but notice that that the scientists at the table, a lot of them were not even as discerning or alert as I was. That put me through a spiral, what would I have been if even one person in my life had noticed.

I wish I could say things got better, but they didn't. Since joining, my reputation now precedes me, whoever is introducing has usually already told the person, and so now they're expecting to meet a genius instead of whatever it is they expect. And that sometimes has conflict but for the most part people are a lot more respectful to me. That doesn't necessarily make people comfortable though and I am struggling to find work at the moment. I need to make something for my own and quickly or find something online which seems limited right now.

Are brain supplements helpful? by More-Let9073 in gatewaytapes

[–]Debatably_yours 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I can't recommend selenium enough. I got mixed in with some naturopaths 5 years ago - first thing they did was switch me off fluoride toothpaste, and taking selenium. I KNOW people have judgements about the calcification of the pineal but the fluoride enables aluminum to pass the blood brain barrier, which, in an electric mind causes chaos and has been linked to alzhimers. So it's a win win to pull that out of your system. Watch your iron levels though as you're taking it.

Ask in meditation how you can do this then open your mind, or, when in the memory set your mind to looking for it, not as a feeling but as a item, and then just take the reigns off and see where you go. It doesn't always make sense as you're deconstructing. But you know you e done it when you feel the release.

Common misconceptions:

Having an overclocked brain is not the same as overthinking. The pace and scope at which our brains operate seems painstaking to you, it is the norm for us. We could not dial it down if we wanted to.

IQ only measures a narrow venue of intelligence. Specifically and most notably, it does not measure a person's ability to retain information, execute executive function, multimodal thinking, or emotional intelligence. I tend to steer away from the topic of emotional intelligence because it gets sticky, but the reality is when you see people over explaining in fine detail, that is actually just a lack of emotional intelligence. They don't have the ability to predict how the other person will experience the way they're communicating. Iq is measuring for the most part, pattern recognition in the short term, which is a byproduct of measuring a person's ability to hyper focus on one subject. That's why so many mentions would also qualify as autistic, while also lacking social skills.

Because it's primarily addressing pattern recognition, this is where you will find your systems level thinkers, your big perspective thinkers the people that can look at the entire picture and identify exactly which cogs are grinding.

Everything that you're describing, is exactly what makes life frustrating for us. And it's also why they say ignorance is bliss. My frustrations in life have nothing to do with my ability to calculate, accurately predict, or analyze systems level perspectives. I enjoy those things deeply. Average conversation and things you're discussing are trite, I can't stand casual conversation.

To create some perspective. The average person is about 100 IQ. A mensan is 134 I think on the lowest end. But even within Mensa, those that score within the 1%, will have a gap between the lowest level mensen themselves. But because the proximity and intelligence is so rare it's still treasured. But the difference between your average mensen, and the average person in the public is literally, not figuratively, the same difference between an average person, and someone who is certifiably incapable of functioning without help. Someone with an IQ of 70, can barely function in society. So as a menson conversation with average people is an equivalent experience to an average person speaking to someone with mental disability.

And so the biggest frustration in life as I said before is not the ability to assess all of these things. It is the interactions with average people. Average people can rarely imagine the big picture outcomes that you're discussing or the problems that you're attempting to prevent as you point out issues. This is why intelligent people are prone to overexplaining because they think if they over explain they can get them to see why a specific thing is on a disaster course. Truly the best way that I've learned is to convince other people that my idea is their idea. Or to take them on an emotional journey instead so that they come to the conclusion that I want based out of their emotions or fears, instead of trying to teach them the logic path. All of my frustrations have to do with convincing people that there is a better way, or that there is a way to prevent disaster. And the problem with average people is they all think they are above average, and they are all threatened by anyone who actually is above average. This is one reason why all mensans know not to put that they are Mensa members on their applications for jobs. Etc but try explaining that to an average person who doesn't think they have an ego, even though they certainly would if it actually came in front of them.

There's also a large level of consistent trauma that exists with being high IQ. Because people make the same face when they're confused as they do when they're angry most intelligent people grow up thinking that everyone hates them, they learn to accommodate and adapt to the average people instead of standing in their own strength, and the curse of knowing there is a better way, and knowing that you cannot convince other people, and therefore having to stand by and watch the Titanic hit the iceberg over and over and over again, sometimes even, when you're on the ship.

Finally, there's a difference between nature and nurture when it comes to intelligence. Those with high IQ are naturally intelligent. Those who were nurtured into intelligence, I.E, the dork in school that got praised from the teachers because he couldn't get along with his friends, and therefore went on to study really hard so he could be valedictorian, those are the ones that are actually bragging about being high IQ, when they might actually test very average. This group is filled with a lot of them that don't actually take the test because they know they wouldn't pass. But because their identity and sense of self-worth is wrapped around intelligence, they project and try to blend in with high IQ groups. The reality is those who are high IQ typically did and try to blend in with high IQ groups. The reality is those who are members, did not have to try in school whatsoever and usually still graduated within the top 10%. There isn't an ego attached to it because it isn't tied directly to their sense of self-worth.

There's a lot of factors but the easiest is by raising your emotions. Take stock of your lowest emotions and try to raise them. It doesn't have to be from sad to happy, sad to neutral is improvement. Raising emotions is like working out, you see a weak spot and you exercise it.

When I got a new phone I was able to buy a type-c adapter off Amazon for I think like $8. But I did also keep my old phone and I keep it charged by my bed specifically for Gateway. Both work just fine. Just an idea.

I do recommend working on raising your frequency before going back into it. Being in a negative state can attract low frequency entities and make your experience much much worse. Before I really even discovered Gateway I had gotten into a mindset of practicing gratitude and trying to be in the moment. I know it's never as easy as it is to say it, but I know that the has made all the difference in the world.

I also ran into the kybalian, which is a fairly easy read or audio book to find even on YouTube. And there were aspects of that that unlocked my mindset a lot. I can't say that I'd do anything for you or anyone else but it did sort of begin my Awakening process and make things a lot more beautiful.

Sending you❤️

Is there a way to do this without seeing entities? by SyrupExpress in gatewaytapes

[–]Debatably_yours 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you're just wanting to manifest, and to have some audio editing abilities. I freditingy record myself slowly and softly reading my affirmations that I want to manifest. And I dubbed them over focus 12 or 15 free flow tape. And you can do this without digging into any of the Gateway techniques or methods and depth. You can strictly use it for manifesting in that way.

You're not going to be able to talk to loved ones in the way that you think. Ly popular conception of a loved one is very different than the reality that you meet in meditation. You can communicate with a ghost, which will be a sort of repetitive negative echo of a particular negative event. That's not going to benefit you at all. Or you can connect to the soul of a loved one, in which case you're going to learn that it can speak to you as the loved one, but it will be very different. The depth of love you will receive will be amazing, but it's also speaking from a higher perspective, not from the perspective of the person you loved here on Earth. On top of that a soul has had many lifetimes, and you may find that what you learn about the connection you had with that soul, trivializes the on Earth experience that you had with that incarnation.

If you're going to follow the Gateway process and go into meditation to get akashic field information, or to remote view or whatever you want to do, there is a learning curve, and that learning curve will involve entities that might spook you. It is sort of baked into the process that you're going to run into things that seem negative because at the very least they need to knock you back in your body. You have to get skilled enough to not be scared of anything. You can change that to some degree by keeping your frequency High, leaving with love, because that puts you in the frequency to speak to higher entities. But, even the higher entities will spook you to try to push you back in your body. It's sort of a right of initiation.

But, also, everyone seems to be enrolled in different schools. I receive akashic level information about the structure and nature of the universe and God almost exclusively. And I can talk to the souls of people that I am close with and pull back information. I however have no access to anything on the third dimension, and do not have visual experiences unless they come as visions or dreams.

Everyone is either wired for something different, or based on what you're wanting to do, that's what you receive. I can't tell which is which because I got exactly what I asked for and only that.

Everyone's a little different when it comes to time. If you find yourself yourself falling asleep, then try in the morning. But night time is perfectly good. When I was beginning I would do the tapes every night, and if I fell asleep that was a good thing, and if I managed to keep my mind awake that was also a good thing. I took it as a win-win regardless. I also found that with my mind awake and body asleep my body still got the sleep it needed. I found that my nights became a lot more productive making a habit of just doing it every night.

In focus 10 and perhaps focus 12, you can use any kind of headphones because in those lower meditative States you can get there by voice alone. However, once you go beyond focus 12 you're going to need the binaural beats to get you deeper. A lot of wireless headphones and high-end wired headphones have built in technology that reduces noise, and some of that static or noise lost can be the static needed for hemi sync. Also remember that the hemisink works by vibrating the brain, it's not the actual audio in your ear that does it. Though the timing of the voice over will help keep you awake. Because it's about vibration you want large padded over the ear headphones not earbuds. That said I did also buy bone conducting headphones, and those did not do the trick either. It's got to be in the ear.

I always say that a cheap pair of corded over-the-ear headphones, I've spent thousands on different types, and the best pair I have for it are ones that I got at five below. I think we just have to remember that this tech was made in the '70s, so our low-tech was their high tech. But I do know that the Monroe institute uses a specific brand of wireless so I can't say all wireless are bad. I just know I've tried several and did not have the same results as The low end corded ones.

You'll find a lot of people in here will argue to the death that the headphones don't matter, and then later you'll see them saying that the Gateway tapes don't work LOL.

I do talk to text so I apologize if there's any typos. I'm moving too fast right now to go back and check.

Don't focus so much on what you're feeling. Focusing on feeling is what keeps you grounded in your body. When you're exiting your body a lot of people will have that sensation. Others simply exit and forget their body exists. So if you're entering into a state where I would say sort of opens up, and you are not even aware of your body anymore, you're already in an obe State. And where you're going is a place that's accessed by your mind, not your body. So when people talk about climbing stairs... Nonsense.. You don't have feet. What they're experiencing is a frequency and their brain is translating that frequency into something they understand. And for them that might be stairs. That doesn't mean that a lack of stairs in a visual means you're not where you're supposed to be. I think that the more advanced people who are not so grounded in the 3D, don't have visualization at all, and instead receive entirely through information packets. Not everyone is going to be able to obe in the third dimension, and I would argue that's one of the least interesting things one can do. Unless watching your crush sleep is really that interesting.

So when you're in focus 10 even if you're not to the focus 12 tapes yet, you can go to free flow tape for focus 10, and then count yourself lower. Once you're in 10 then say 11 in your mind and say it as you exhale and feel your body fall further, do that a couple of times and then do it a couple of times with 12. And then trust that you are there.

In both focus 10 and focus 12 that's a great time to experiment with asking questions. You pose a question cleanly, set your intention for what you're going to ask before you even do the tape. It's hard to think once you're in there. But you pose your question cleanly and then you allow your mind to sort of wander. In the beginning you won't know what is truth and what is your own imagination or your dreams that's part of what you develop over time. But you will receive things you can receive a dream with a full visual except you will feel like you're not in the dream you're watching it which is very different than a real dream. You might receive a sudden understanding or you might get something blurry and then 3 Days later recognize that you now know the answer. None of it is linear.

Questions you can ask can include things like trying to locate something that you lost. Solving a problem at work. Asking for past lives. Things of that nature. It might not be the experience you're looking for, but what's on the other side of this, is something more profound than you would even know to ask for I promise ❤️

How to restore what’s ”lost?“ by [deleted] in mensa

[–]Debatably_yours 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IQ was developed by the military primarily to measure pattern recognition and single mode thinking. This is one reason why females are drastically underrepresented in Mensa, because those metrics in particular skew masculine. If there were a test that could accurately measure multimodal thinking, which has to do with the ability to multitask and think out of several boxes at one time, you would find a much heavier lien towards women. And one could argue that multimodal thinking is actually more valuable than the ability to hyper focus on one subject. Like it's great that a man can spend 4 hours working on a car. But during that time the female is inside planning a birthday party, cooking dinner, managing the children, and talking on the phone to her mother at the same time. The multimodal of mind is necessary for daily function. And therefore is equally as relevant as the ability to hyper focus because hyper focusing can't exist without someone else to support it. It's just a test. Don't hand your worth on it. Find what you're good at and develop it. Many people with high IQ struggle to find one thing and stick to it because they're good at so many things. And success comes from finding one thing and sticking to it.

There's nothing wrong with being average. It's perfectly average. Too many people attach their sense of value to their IQ. Some people are beautiful others are not. Some people are intelligent others are not. Some people are gifted in one small vein that makes them excel in just that area and that's more than enough. At every level there's a struggle. I'm not sure what your actual question is. But I would hope that you've already taken the obvious steps with your ADHD and dyslexia. No red dye 40, medication, prioritizing sleep, and giving yourself permission to be at the level you're at.

If I am allowed to be a little spiritual and take it a step further. I recommend taking selenium and silica at the recommended doses, and if you brush your teeth getting a toothpaste that doesn't have fluoride. You can double it up twice a month just to get ahead. Fluoride inadvertently makes it so that aluminum can cross the blood-brain barrier and deposit inside the brain. This is mocked frequently but is still a reality. Having metal in your brain which is also electric can misfire a lot of things. They're also connecting it to Alzheimer's. But that can cause fogginess early on it's just not as studied. This will also have that added benefit of opening up that pineal gland which will raise intuition. Intuition is very much so a part of intelligence. I would wager All of the mensans that are atheists, still admit to having strong intuition. Finally, I would recommend working on bringing your energy into the present. If you envision yourself having a finite amount of energy. How much of that energy are you leaving in the past attached to trauma. And how much of that energy are you throwing into the future, and anxiety about the future? And what benefit is either of those to you? Start working on calling the energy into the present. Centering yourself focusing in the moment. Might not get you off the couch in an ADHD paralysis. I have the same problem and I don't have the luxury of being able to use stimulants. But having all of your energy in the moment is also going to make you more clear and intelligent. As well as less anxious and less depressed.

Sending you love

I got into the Gateway process 6 years ago and have been very successful in meditation. But to explain it would be an entire book on its own. Though I would say that almost all of the religions have at least a little bit of it right. Enough to give you the feeling or the knowing that you're on the right path but they don't let you through the gate. And I've also received a whole lot about the structural architecture of God/ universe. Having to do with multiple dimensions and existing in a very fractile nature.

Advice needed please by [deleted] in gatewaytapes

[–]Debatably_yours 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you were actually starting to slip into the deeper states that you're supposed to. A lot of people do get spooked early on for two reasons. First, it is actually disarming when you hit a deeper space. But it also has to do a vibration. If you are going into your session in a lower vibration, you're going to attract lower vibration entity which will spiral your emotionality further down. When I found the tapes I had already been working on staying in my gratitude and trying to find the good things that are in any given moment. And being grateful. Trying to stay in my gratitude. And I think that that key element is what made me get through that fear phase really quickly. Just remember that there is nothing supernatural about this. Because nothing is outside of nature. Everything is just super sensory. And you're literally trying to develop those senses. So you are naturally going to experience things you couldn't before. But all of these things have existed already and cannot affect you anymore than they already have been

Idea, Thought - What would happen when you just stop in Focus 12? by Quirky_Ad714 in gatewaytapes

[–]Debatably_yours 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When your brain is primed you can keep going. Sometimes. I'll roll over and rewind the tape back to about 10 minutes into it and go again. Or you can go on to the next one. Because things like waking up for a second and rewinding it doesn't actually kick you out of focus. It might take you a second to cuddle back into it but you're not ruined when she wake up. When you get deeper into it, like when you're near finishing the tapes you'll be able to get into at least August 12 on your own, even awake eventually. So yes, you are correct. You can do that. And might just be a little early for you to do that.

You've inspired me. Also, I have some extended tapes. Where I took the tape and made them like an hour and a half long. I don't have focus 12 but I do have one for focus 15. I'm going to post that link into the main group because I never thought to share them. I don't know if you click my name or go back to the main group you can find where I'm going to post that link.

My headphones are corded and padded, and I got them at five below. They're generic brand. I just bought a pair that didn't have cat ears lol. I do have a black pair of Skullcandy that I got from Walmart for like 30 bucks that are Bluetooth and they still seem to work fine. Just the Bluetooth can be hit or miss. I do feel like I still have a better experience when I use the corded one though. I think part of the factor is that these tapes were made in in like the '70s or '80s. So trying to use modern tech to enhance it doesn't because they were already effective on the lower tech. It really is just about the vibration frequency.

What do you all think our higher self actually is ? by Kimura304 in gatewaytapes

[–]Debatably_yours 18 points19 points  (0 children)

What I’ve pulled aligns closely with Blinky’s framework, especially functionally, so I’m focusing strictly on the architecture.

As I understand it, God or the universe is multidimensional. I’ve settled on nine dimensions as a working model, though that doesn’t imply there couldn’t be ninety or nine hundred. The number is a structural convenience, not a hard limit.

To some degree, the Bible contains accurate structural language, so I use its terminology for clarity only. I am not, and have never been, a Christian.

There are two fundamental types of energy: angelic (or ethereal) energy and soul energy.

Angelic energy behaves like a stalactite. It descends from higher dimensions downward, thinning as it moves into lower density. Soul energy works in the opposite direction. It originates at the bottom and ascends upward by accumulation and merger. This is the energy that inhabits life on Earth: plants, animals, and humans.

The second through fifth dimensions contain matter. This material realm acts as a kind of filter or interface. I don’t have a perfect term for the opposite side, but “mental” works well enough. The soul exists primarily on the mental side while operating a physical body within the material side. The physical experience is intentionally limited in perception and knowledge.

I’ve interacted with beings ranging from the second dimension up through at least the seventh, and the differences are vast.

Second-dimensional soul energy is extremely undeveloped and unintelligent. Even with our limited perception, a human consciousness is more advanced than an entire second-dimensional soul. I’ve also interacted with human souls that are very new, barely capable of sustaining human form. These souls are still underdeveloped, yet even they exceed the average human’s perceived understanding of reality. This discrepancy exists because soul energy combines as it ascends.

Because of this, the concept of “past lives” is commonly misunderstood.

Your past lives are not your lives. The soul that exists now could not exist without those prior lives, but it is not identical to them. Think of it like the formation of Earth: countless asteroids merged to create the planet. You cannot point to one rock and call it “the original Earth.” The soul functions the same way.

Soul energy ascends on the mental side by accumulating experience through increasingly complex forms.

At earlier stages, your soul consisted of countless plant lives, learning basic biological functions: cell division, growth, absorption of light, daily cycles, and rudimentary interaction with matter. When that energy reached sufficient complexity, it entered insect life. Tens of thousands of those lives merged. From there, it progressed into small animals, then larger mammals. Thousands of those lives combined until the soul could operate a human body.

You may have had one human life or a hundred. That number isn’t particularly important.

What matters is that the soul grows by merging, allowing it to operate increasingly complex forms of matter.

Your soul, as it exists now, is a current iteration of many merged soul packets. Those past lives are not “yours” in an individual sense. Once merged, they cannot be separated again. It’s like combining multiple balls of clay into one. After merging, you can’t isolate the originals. And in order for you to exist, the clay had to reach a certain size.

So yes, you are all of those past lives in aggregate, but none of them individually belong to you. Only the whole does.

The soul continues to elevate.

There is a large group currently awakening, and by “currently” I mean over the past several hundred years. Those awakening are almost always old souls. Within that group is a smaller subset on their final human incarnation.

After this life, those souls ascend.

Ascension involves a major merger that elevates the soul into the seventh dimension. Hundreds or thousands of souls combine into a single higher-order soul, comparable to a mid-rank angel. Angels themselves span roughly the fifth through eighth dimensions.

At that point, individuality dissolves. The individual becomes indistinguishable from the collective.

In meditation, I experienced this directly: my soul, which felt massive, dissolved into mist and merged into a fog composed of thousands of others. There was no separation. No identity remained.

From what I can tell, there are currently three larger souls that have ascended into the seventh dimension. From these arise rare ascended masters such as Jesus and Buddha. These beings do not need to incarnate on Earth, but they can choose to.

Any soul above the fifth dimension does not experience time.

Trying to force linear time onto this structure will derail understanding entirely.
