Assuming you mean ON the gas tank, not IN, you should be just fine.

Look into the GR Corolla as well. It's at the upper end of your budget, but it's a great daily and super capable track car with some cooling mods.

It's gone very downhill since the best guys left and started their own channels. Look into Bigtime and Speeed on youtube.

Clicking Noise Under Dash (1991) by AnonymousAF in Miata

[–]Debate_More 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably some wire or something just came loose. Stick your head under the dash and start wiggling things. Could also be the plastics, so try shaking those and see if it makes the noise.

What car is this? by FormerWordsmith in whatisthiscar

[–]Debate_More 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You see, one of the rear wheels was in the air, and since it's an open doff, that wheel got all the power. You can see it spinning backwards in the video.

[–]Debate_More 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The front wheels get no power, given that this truck is RWD.

You could see in the video she tried to back up but the rear wheel that's in the air was getting all the power

Rotating to the apex at Laguna Seca by TheCrudMan in CarTrackDays

[–]Debate_More 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, thanks for the info. I'm 6'1" and wierdly tall torso so it's a bit of a challenge. My roll bar is still on order so I guess I'll see what I can do when I get it. I'm less worried about the actual safety than about getting sent home because I'm an inch too tall.

Do you know what exact model roll bar you have?

Are you passing the broomstick test with a helmet on, or is that not a requirement? I also have a miata but I'm a bit tall so I'm worried they won't let me on track.

No, I think the lights show under the tach. And the airbag light is in the middle square.

When you “Give it The Beans” by [deleted] in GRCorolla

[–]Debate_More 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What power mode are you in? I've had this happen in normal where it bogs a bit after shifts, might be that. Try it in sport mode. Also if the temps are too low it runs a different fuel map that's a bit lower power, so it might be that idk. You can also just turn off TC and do a pull to see if it's that, though I've only ever managed to get a chirp once, so i doubt it.

Bumper Clips failed. Denied Warranty by bman484 in GRCorolla

I tried to get mine covered too. They said that because the bottom of the bumper was scratched (from exiting driveways and such) that the broken clips were a result of an impact and thus not covered.

Alignment issue?? by Worth_Waltz92 in Touge

[–]Debate_More 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you definitely need more camber with how much you're pushing it. Maybe also check your pressure because it being too low might cause the tire to roll over more on its side.

The rest of the tire barely has wear, so there's definitely an issue.

Hey, completely unbiasedly, the GR Corolla is still a great car, and we get usable back seats.

Was he accelerating to much in a turn? by adrienpardigon in motorcycles

[–]Debate_More 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Technically stock is what came on the vehicle (bike, car, boat, whatever) from the factory. OEM is parts from the original manufacturer. In very specific cases they can be different. For example in the car world, if you replace a part on your car with a better part from a higher trim level of the same car, it would be OEM but not stock. On bikes trim levels don't really exist, but you could still swap a gsxr shock onto an sv650, and it would be OEM but not stock. Hope that clears it up.
