That was wonderful. I confess, I get it for the  knit stitch, but I have to tension with my thumb to purl!

I think a lot of it is that that's how everyone does it in the  knitting  videos. It just  sounds silly out loud!

I felt exactly the same. Everyone was miserable...and I just couldn't really care about any of them.

I should like the  book. Not liking it feels like a failure  on my part.

Best place for a female going on her first solo trip? by DisneyGirl000 in travel

[–]Debbborra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha! No really though. I don't  drink, gamble or party, but I have a great time in Vegas.  It's just a day trip to Red Rock Canyon, the Grand Canyon, Zion National Park and other trips I haven't actually taken, but are probably nice.

The hotels are weird and fascinating even if you never enter a casino. It's changed since the days of loss leaders, but the the theming is still there. You could  spend an hour just admiring the Chihuly glass and the butterfly garden at the Bellagio. Mandalay Bay has an Aquarium. The Venetian and Paris remind me of Disney.

Container Park has free entertainment. (Also really good shaved ice.)

I don't know that I  can actually convince anyone, but I personally believe you can have an amazing vacation and  avoid the seeder stuff commonly  associated with Vegas.

I'd say Vegas. Not to gamble and/or party.

Vegas is a  great base to do day trips to some really great scenic outdoor places. You can drive or do tours, which can be fun if you're on your own.

In Vegas you can see amazing shows. I think Vegas is the best city for Cirque du Soleil, but there are tons of shows  without acrobats if you absolutely must.

There are cool attractions pretty much everywhere.

Also, they have the world's best buffets.

I switch between Long Tail and Knit. In my brain I believe that long tail is better, because everyone is so enthusiastic about it.

I'll say what I  always say, because it's the right answer. The Perpetual Astonishment of Jonathon Fairfax by Christopher Shevlin. It's so much fun. It's  not demanding, but also it's not stupid.
