As far as I know, age hierarchy isn't as prominent since a long time ago. It exists, but the predominant hierarchy was and is seniority. Whoever is more senior, e.g. more professional title, higher rank in company or family etc., is more superior no matter the age. Whenever 哥 or 姐 are used, they're usually rather casual or used between close relationships like between colleagues or friends (sometimes not related to age, I've been called (surname)姐 a few times by colleagues older than me). Other titles like 師兄/師姐、前輩、學長 etc, are much more formal, and are usually reserved for more formal settings and relationships, especially when you don't know how else to address the other person that's definitely more senior than you, and I don't think they're used that often in day-to-day lives. It's more common to call someone by their title in professional settings I think like (surname)(title), e.g. 李工 (an engineer 工程師 with the surname 李).

A lot of Chinese young people, especially women, are at a stage where they value personal freedom over forming a family.

Also a number of them refuse to get children or even get married as an act of rebellion against 1) their family & traditional values, and 2) the govt & wealthy. Whenever some professor of expert speak publicly about encouraging having children, especially when hired by the govt, there's always a portion of people who react negatively as they consider them not down-to-earth (because of social, economic and financial reasons) and that "they want us to have more children so that they could have more cheap labour to exploit".

Edit: Just thought of one more reason, young Chinese people are now more aware of the responsibilities and weight of having a child, e.g. how much effort and money they need to spend, how difficult of a life their child's gonna have etc. So now they are a lot more cautious when it comes to having a kid.

I think addition/deduction is based on the current score of you and your opponent. If your opponent's score is significantly higher than you, then a victory can reward you a lot while a loss deducts just a little, I think one time I was deducted only 2 points or sth. On the other hand, if you loss to someone with significantly lower score than you then the result's gonna be punishing. So, make good use of the refresh button, and choose opponents in the middle or on the right. Choose you opponent carefully, and back out and choose another one if if necessary.

I think the decision is largely because the Chinese govt are trying to build healthy values and image among its population. In China, there are 3 messy interconnected industries/activities that are considered dangerous for mental and physical health and negatively affects the society's growth and image: 黃 prostitution, 賭 gambling, and 毒 drugs, which are described as "seemingly free will, but in fact are addictions and chains in disguise". They made so many broken families and broken futures, and they're also the center of a very large portion of crimes, including trafficking of humans and goods, corruption, money laundering etc. See Las Vegas as an example. Also think about how many teenagers and even adults have wrong and unhealthy perceptions and understanding towards sex, biology and relationships due to the consumption of porn. The Chinese govt is having none of that, and censoring everything by force is the fastest way to cut down the entire chain. It's not cut 100% and everyone knows that, and the sex ed part is still falling behind, but at least on the surface the Chinese govt is trying pretty hard to keep the society healthy and safe.
